    Very nice indeed, it kinda looks like cast iron!! I’m currently painting some old pine bedroom furniture then onto a few pieces I have around my home, my biggest problem is deciding which colours to do them in🤔I used to have a shop/business where I up-cycled furniture but I was devastated as I had to give it up because of poor health, so it’s nice to get back into it at home, taking my time and doing it on my own terms so to speak😬❤️thank you so much, I love watching you🥰x

    Love the results with white wax. Thanks I’m creating a new look for a desk and going with this look. Perfect. Pretty both ways, but the black really pops.

    I’ve been wanting to repaint the very first piece that I did. I don’t like the color at all. And I put a question out and I got a lot of responses and they told me to just send it. But I was hesitant until I watch your video. Thank you for showing me how easy it’s going to be to repaint my little nightstand.

    Just watched a video from Country Chic Paint, and they said that using rubbing alcohol will help take the wax off if you don't sand. Am going to give that a try because I have no sand paper and haven't sanded any of the pieces I have painted so far. Like you, I am going to redo a few pieces I did when I first started but did not like the outcome. Thanks for the video.

    i have a question: i painted a lovely sidetable black and distressed it lightly with sandpaper. Once i wax it would it be OVERKILL to add white wax in places IN ADDITION to the distressing where the brown wood is showing through?

    Hey Christina, love your videos and you and Kacha were the first two to inspire me to start my own hobby! Love you both ❤️❤️ I ordered two of your t-shirts from Teespring, but they never arrived to me in CA...they won't courier me a replacement or refund...other reviews on their site say the same thing...I'm so disappointed cuz I was very excited to get them and wear them but I don't think I ever will...sad they would be so corrupt especially these days :'( please find another vendor, it's not fair to you either

    Good job! I have painted over waxed pieces several times using chalk paint and have never had any issues. I don’t even sand first! Lol This must have been the video you left The Shabby Guy’s Live to go do the other day. I’ve been waiting to see what you were filming. 😁 I would have liked to see what the table would have looked like had you used the white wax all over just like you used the clear. Maybe in another video? Thanks for sharing! I really enjoy watching.

    This video was very timely for me because I have a lot of pieces that I have painted with Annie Sloan Primer Red and I want to paint white now . Do you think it’s doable to paint a light color over dark? Or should I strip it? Because I want to distress it and the dark color would then show through right? Do you have a stripper you recommend?

    • @ChristinaMuscari
      @ChristinaMuscari  4 роки тому

      I think I would strip red. I feel like it would be hard to cover.

    I’m loving this white wax, I’ve been very curious myself. I’m so glad you tired it out showing us. I need help I started a whole big pine king bedroom set, large headboard, footboard side rails, armor, dresser, chest and I’ve already primed it however I cheap out and got the rest-oleum chalk paint in the linen white and just as I thought it’s just to stark white, I want that old white feel but not yellow undertone. I know you probably will say the gesso white would be perfect right? I just have so much to paint and have I think about 6 quarts of the linen white but I’m horrible at mixing colors too. I tried a little chiffon from rest-oleum but that doesn’t look right either... uhhh 🙄 please any suggestions??? Stay safe, happy and healthy my friend.

    • @ChristinaMuscari
      @ChristinaMuscari  4 роки тому

      Yep, Jolie Gesso White sounds like what you are looking for. Or Annie Sloan Old White (this doesn't have a yellow undertone anymore). I also like Dixie Belle drop cloth. But if you have all that paint...can you live with the Linen?

    I love your videos and always learn something new. I just chalk painted an old dresser and made a mistake😢 I think it would have looked better with the original stained top. What do you recommend sanding the paint off.. is it possible to get to the stain with out ruining it??😞thank you!!

    • @ChristinaMuscari
      @ChristinaMuscari  4 роки тому

      You can sand the paint off but you might have to restain the top. If you haven't sealed the paint yet you can try to remove it with a wet rag or some paint stripper.

    You’re awesome Christina!! I’m still learning and love watching your videos. You are so talented and a great teacher! When prepping a piece, do you recommend using a deglosser like Will-Bond? On my first piece, I cleaned it well before painting but had some areas where the paint lifted so I had to sand and repaint in those areas.

    • @ChristinaMuscari
      @ChristinaMuscari  4 роки тому +2

      I would scuff sand or use Dixie Belle slick stick on really shiny pieces.
