great episode 👌🏻 I agree with the comment about how popular Guiness has become. I'm in my early 30s and I can remember around 2007,8 when I was starting out drinking, Guinness was far from fashionable with lads my age! might have had 1 lad out of a group of 6 or 7 drinking it, and only sometimes, and it would almost seem like an affectation or contrived, and Guinness had connotations of "the old days" or "old men". I'm not sure of how much of this was a function of our young age, and how much was culture, but I don't believe Guinness was anywhere near as popular back then among people who were the age I am now. I think the first Arthur's day in 2009 was a significant catalyst for it's growth, and the Guinness app around 2013,14 which gave the person a free pint of Guinness was a great catalyst also. Also, I would guess that during the recession years ("the hardy bucks years" as I think of them) young people drank way more than now, and typically they front loaded their nights alcohol consumption in the form of pre-drinks in someones house - this objective was much more easily achieved through drinking 6-8 cans of cheap lager, which is what most people seemed to go for, than by drinking Guinness, so people didn't develop a taste for it as quickly as they do now.
The pints look so consistently quality in this pub from these episodes. It’s on the list for my next visit for sure. I enjoy these but hope the pint reviews don’t slow down too much❤
Best Pint in Dublin mountains.. Blue Light pub.. Barnacullia Sandyford , Dublin 18.. most nostalgic, finest pint on saturday morning.. Daragh you have to do a review..
great to see the guru with "faces". Let's not underestimate your impact big man. Your phrases are now in the common vocabulary... no mean feat that Daragh.
Big fan of both you guys but felt GG was a bit underprepared for the interview. At times it felt like you were thinking of the questions as you went along and there was a bit of a lack of conviction. Hope you take this as constructive criticism because I like your channel 👍🏻
Love watching not only the podcasts but you going into different towns and cities rating the Guinness. Never tried a pint of Guinness in my life 😆 but watching these makes me want to so come the weekend I’m going into my local which is in Bicester BURE FARM (Oxfordshire) My best pal just died less than a month ago at 25 and he LOVED Guinness. When I saw this page I had to click on it, weirdly somewhat reminded me of him and how he was with a Guinness. He knew the difference between a good one and a bad one and I wish I would’ve sat down and had one with him, I always turned it down and went for the bud light instead. But come the weekend after this long weeks of work as I said I’m definitely going into my local and trying one. I’m just curious, will a bad pint of Guinness put you off Guinness as a whole? Wouldn’t want to try one in my local if I hear it’s terrible as I know most the crowd inside that pub so I’ll be asking around and seeing what it’s like before I do. Keep up the great content brother. LOVE, LIFE AND PROSPERITY TO ALL. Blessings ❤
You have to admire the man for having absolutely zero standards for the quality of his content and just putting it out. Most people would've edited out the sections with the ear shredding static scratching but no, not the "Guru".
A Guinness is a Guinness I really believe...I was in a well known pub merrion row at wkend expecting the best Guinness ever, having read constant rave reviews, it was ok but same as normal..no domage or shtick, no difference to any other pint imo. Only pub that blows me away is bloody stream Howth, Guinness consistently 10/10..go try end of dart line.
Thanks for having chief! Enjoyed that
Conor ur some legend bai
From a viewer’s standpoint, this setup is the best. Love seeing the bar and a steady camera. Perfect framing. 🍻
Couldn't agree more with Connor. If you're serving Guinness, make sure it's the best it can be..... Nothing better!

Great video mate ! When's the new merch coming ?
Great pub choice lads!
A lot of people now drinking Guinness in UK but theres NO big TV advertizing campaigns from Guinness like there used to be.
Great craic, Lads! Thanks for the content!

I enjoyed that 👍🏻
You need to find the best pint in Carrickmacross monaghan it’ll definitely be John Joes
GraveDiggers is the best purely for the taste but the fact Bowes is just as good and it's central which helps
Nice video lads👍

@@jaywalkercrew4446 pity about your comment 4 months later.
@@charlielad6124 ok, you was the one though. "The moan."
@@jaywalkercrew4446 you was? What a fool! I think you mean you were. If you're going to troll at least use better english than a four year old. 🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡

Bang on with the Bloody Stream - my grandad lived there and it was a wonderful excuse to go out for a walk when visiting.
Little and large
You are one balding guying
Need better guests. Need a better host too to be fair 😁
You still watched, apparently. And commented for the algorithm. Thanks, mate!
