  • Episode #71
It's not everyday that we can get our inspiration for where to fish from a craft beer, but Connecticut's Lasting Brass Brewing Company has made that a reality this time around. Lasting Brass and it's Hop Brook IPA hail from Watertown, which also happens to be where we can find the modest headwaters of Hop Brook. In this episode, I grab the old 5wt and hit the water to go flyfishing for brook trout, brown trout and rainbow trout on the namesake stream of a fine, Connecticut-brewed beer.
And yeah, it did occur to me that Hop Brook could just as easily be thought of as a reference to the hoppy goodness of this IPA. But I'd like to think it's not just coincidence that the actual Hop Brook meanders through farms and forest barely 10 minutes west of the brewing floor.
