I lived in London for 3 years and apart from one incident leaving a night club where I'm 90% I saw a lad with a knife under his jacket, I've never seen anything. That's just me though, and I still don't want to return to the capital any time soon.

Very rare. We have 200 stabbings a year. A far lower homicide rate than the USA. That accounts for population. Knife crime isn’t an issue whatsoever and is being drummed up by politicians for election points. Like there are eighty stabbing roughly annually in London. That’s just not a problem. We have one of the lowest homicide rates and knife crime is being treated as an actual problem... of course most homicides are being done with knives... what else would you use? The only way to further reduce this already small number is by taking people out of poverty and reforming the prison system.
If Uk spend as much effort on actually preventing knife crime rather then banning sharp objects and often usable tools or collection pieces or military memorabilia then maybe they would lower their crime statistics. Maybe trying to educate people more , prevent poverty, prevent gang forming and drug use and give those „ street wonders” something to do would actually lower the knife crime , knifes aren’t bad is the people that use them for crime that’s the problem.
