My boys and I still play mw19 after playing mw2 a bit. Mw19 just has better s&d gameplay. The only issue is that pretty much anyone can cheat now. Maybe half the lobbies have people that toggle from time to time. Also, the maps are more fun to play at least in search. Another negative is the lack of fov slider for console
Yeah, my group moved to MW2 because almost every lobby had a cheater, and a lot of them would just aim at the sky and kill our entire team. But my hard drive failed yesterday so RIP
Play cod ghosts lmao, that would be really interesting. Probably the oldest cod you can reliably play on console. Would be interesting to see your reactions as to how different things are and how much things have changed.
Right lol. I still play and wouldn’t dare play team deathmatch on this map. Like show killhouse, hackney yard, vacant, khandor hideout. So many to choose from
MW2019 was actually my favorite CoD in recent history (except for the slide canceling movement freaks and the narrow FoV on consoles). The game just looks really good and played really well before all of the Warzone integration stuff kept breaking it.
First mistake was staying in a st petrograd lobby. Gunner runner, hackney, SH, KH, and rust were the bees knees. Then you add im gunfight and WZ before it became shit man pandemic cod was something special
Never played classic 6v6. It was only Realism, 10v10 or Ground War. However, on these modes (especially first two ones) was one of my greatest experiences in CoD.
I think if multiplayer were 10 v 10, more people would've liked. I dunno, I still loved it. It was basically the only game I played for 10 straight months back in 2020.
Everyone flames the maps but the spawns are the real culprits, once you figure out where people are there was arguably more skill expression than any other cod game with the movement and complex jump routes
At 4:30 , I clearly saw a notification of a weapon from Vanguard, it may just be me, but I never knew that you could unlock guns from a different CoD game (ofc from that “era” of games). That being MW2019, perhaps? BO:CW, and Vanguard.
Back in 2020 when they attached Warzone to the new game, they made it so that playing ANY of those games (including Warzone) would give you progress in all of the games.
I honestly loved MW 2019, and place it at #3 of top cods (followed by MW2 at #2 and BO2 at #1), and actually played it consistently for 3 straight years (after dumping both BOCW and the nightmare that was Vanguard). The graphics, sound design, gun play, all the unlockables, challenges, gunsmith, and Ground War all were top notch. I feel like there was a lot of passion put into this game, something sorely lacking from MWII. Sure the animation department is still king and the sounds are awesome, but everything else feels phoned in. The fact that to this day you can log into MW and still earn new things from the daily challenges is awesome; the only thing you get from MWII challenges is XP, which is pointless.
Petrograd has become one of my favorites because of the campers and Jump spots, campers make the easiest kills and in the middle of the map in the coffe shop, you can jump from a book case from the first floor to the middle window of the secound and take out campers by surprise, it's great for long shots and cqb
I played cod ww2 for a few hours yesterday and my thoughts during the life cycle of that game are still the same, cod ww2 was a top tier cod. The gameplay is so far clear of any of the recent cods, the gunplay is consistent, gunfights are fair, such a fun game
That was the last COD before all the unwanted major changes. Coincidentally, my last favorite COD too. Also don’t forget War mode! One of the best new modes introduced
@@Elote20 I remember when it was in cycle and everyone absolutely hated it but I never understood I had an absolute blast during its life cycle. Always felt like it was hated for no reason

As much as I disliked almost everything about MW2019 on 6v6, it still has the most satisfying movement and gunplay of any COD on a base level (even if movement is OP)
I was never a huge fan of MW19 tbh. God awful balancing (monolithic suppressor rendering every other attachment useless), crappy maps, Ghost working while not moving, no red dots on the minimap, obnoxious movement, plus a plethora of garbage decisions IW have came up with.

Since FFA is my main, I had a little bit of fun with it. No where NEAR the amount of fun I had with WW2. The Doors / Foot volume / SBMM / disbanding lobbies killed it for me. Warzone saved this for me and its why I grinded for Damascus a year or two later.
You should see if Advanced Warfare is still playable. I loved that game back in the day and feel like it got unfairly judged more because of its successors than itself. If we didn't get 4 advanced CoDs in a row afterward and they were more evenly spread out, I think it would get more credit as innovative and enjoyable. But leave it to activision to milk a dead horse for all it can.
This game and map made MarkOfJ quit gaming. Who remember that? He literally couldn’t find no one even tho it was a full game and kept dying by campers, he quit and never came back
I feel like the stuff that make you dislike MW2019 carried into most of the next games with few exceptions, loud footsteps, no ninja perk, SBMM, micky mouse spawns, disbanding lobbies, if anything MWII has that and more, like no red dots, the only better thing in MWII are the maps I think and camo system.
Things I prefer in MW19 over MWII: - General gunplay feels smoother and tighter in MW19 - Visual Recoil isn't as present in MW19, it is ridiculous and annoying in MWII - Movement feels a lot smoother, faster and therefore more responsive (not talking slide cancel) - Specialist streaks - Dead Silence field upgrade vs the MWII version (I still want a Ninja perk) - Graphics look better and more realistic to me compared to MWII - Unlockable skins for Operators through operator challenges - Presence of an Obsidian camo challenge - Operators in general were much better
Movement and gunplay aged like fine wine. Haven’t had better gunplay and movement (not counting advanced movement games) than this. The lack of visual recoil is very nice too. However, maps are still horrible, no FOV blows on console, respawn spawn logic is the worst in CoD history and the camo grind was insanely too hard (I have Damascus so I can speak on this). Overall, this is a OK game. Amazing in non-respawn, bad in most respawn modes. IMO.
@@powerg3824 I do agree that general movement speeds were faster, but I felt like the fluidity and animations of those games (especially Cold War) just didn’t feel as good as MW2019’s.
Respawn logic is not the worst lmfao. Considering mw22’s is much terrible. Mw19’s is pretty much predictable. Enemies were everywhere where your teammates were not unless you were being flanked. Maps were three lanes and linear. Pretty simple. Fov gave a leveling field and made it more realistic. Also you could even tell the difference between your teammates foot steps and their gun sounds from an enemy’s own.
@@Skrenja you do realize that MW19 and MW22 have the exact same “squad spawn” respawn logic? Also unless you were on PlayStation (to turn off cross play) you were at a disadvantage playing against people with FOV. Some maps were 3 lane, but the vast majority of them weren’t. I wouldn’t really consider “realism” as a positive measure for a CoD but I guess. I can’t speak on footstep audio though, it sucks in both games for me.
This is my opinion on what i think are the pros and cons of both games perk system and specific about the perks as a whole. You can share your opinions too. Pros and Cons of MW2019 perks: Pros: Some of the perks actually had a useful effect on equipment such as cold blooded made it harder for AI to detect you, you didn't appear on Thermals, some gave you equipment back such as Restock, Ghost was a powerful stealth option because of UAV's, A good selection of Picks that have a certain effect. You can have Specialists which you earn per every 2 kills (1 for first perk + 2 for the other 2 if Hardline is equipped as a base main perk) Cons: There are perks that i believe shouldn't be a perk and that even to get Score streaks, it shouldn't be some sort of perk as it becomes a waste of a perk, Some of the perks were just pure out useless and didn't help enough. Pros and Cons of MW22 perks: Pros: You do get rewarded on getting better perks even though you earn them fast in a match which is nice, The perk balancing is perfection, You can have more perks (4) than MW2019 (3) for the base amount for when you have gotten all. Each perk isn't useless and actually has their own purpose of play styles which is something MW2019 doesn't completely have. You can start off with 2 very good default perks at the same time such as Bomb Squad and Scavenger which MW2019 technically didn't do unless you had specialists in that game. Cons: The whole Earning them in match while they are equipped on a specific class is just plain on not great compared to MW2019.
MW2k19 is best COD game of last generation imo. It innovated on so many things and as someone who never bother with COD games in years after MW2 and Black Ops, MW2k19 got me hooked. I still play it time to time but keeping all that aside. There were some major technical problems for this game back when it launched. It was a hell trying to run this game on consoles due to weird glitches deleting all your data packs. update sizes were big for no reason and there were so many cheaters. It is still plagued with cheaters. Also the 60fps lock and no fov for console players was also very dumb. I dun think MW2 is inferior to this game at all. But I also think it is not better either.
@@tasha4400 graphics are a big plus. Yhe introduction of the drill charge alone makes camping less of an issue. In tandem with that, the map design is definitely superior (albeit still leaning towards the larger side for the most part). The camo system is vastly superior. I started back playing it too after 2 years & I instantly had fun I just wish I could adjust my FOV but other than that the game still holds up good
Personally the game isn’t stale to me barely half a year in. I wish all CoDs would take 2-3 years between releases
damn even Ace broke and went back to the actually good version of this game
I was really sad when they took gun game out of mw 2019…it was the most fun I had with it
1:30 3:23 I noticed that as well
5:22 It looks better than MWII
The old intro & outro is nostalgic
Maps were too big. Movement a little slow. We all know about Dead Silence. But I massively prefer MW19 to MW22.
You mean how dead silence is perfect and should never go back to being a perk I agree
I like how Vanguard did it, with Ninja as a perk, but Dead Silence as a field upgrade as an option, and since footsteps weren't as loud, it was more viable to run it as a field upgrade instead.
@@joshdidgit6398 nah it was bad in MW2019 and even worse in MWII
DS as a perk was never a crutch perk as long they balance it correctly and I never heard anyone complaining about it in any cod before MW2019
@@Freedomer3 bruh it was always a crutch perk the moment it was introduced
@@Freedomer3 the only reason people were complaining about it after MW 2019 was because they removed it from being a perk
I have always disagreed when people said "CoD is the same every year", but man, there is really no reason to buy MW2022 when you have MW2019. It's the same crap.
I mean at least the movement and ads speeds feel like cod in mw2019. I miss that fluidity so much.
If they had just left it alone once the new cods came out it'd be perfect. But they had to go around and integrate everything and mess it all up. Best cod in a longggggg time imo
Idk if I’m weird but MW2019/Warzone is my favourite COD by miles
My boys and I still play mw19 after playing mw2 a bit. Mw19 just has better s&d gameplay. The only issue is that pretty much anyone can cheat now. Maybe half the lobbies have people that toggle from time to time.
Also, the maps are more fun to play at least in search. Another negative is the lack of fov slider for console
Yeah, my group moved to MW2 because almost every lobby had a cheater, and a lot of them would just aim at the sky and kill our entire team. But my hard drive failed yesterday so RIP
The campaign in 2019 was awesome, I think I played through it a full 3 times
Play cod ghosts lmao, that would be really interesting. Probably the oldest cod you can reliably play on console. Would be interesting to see your reactions as to how different things are and how much things have changed.
I also love that it shows your kill number at the bottom after a kill
This was a top-tier game for a search and destroy. I had some of the most fun in years playing search on this game.
I’d love to see you go back to Cold War, my personal favorite COD game of the last few years that feels more traditional and fun.
cold war sucks
@@corpsy444 mp sucks. mp is only fun for me when i use snipers. zombies is fun tho
Ew
MW2019 feels like MW3 with perfect movement
>Judges the game off St Petrograd
And it wasn't inundated with Warzone cosmetics first 4-5 months
if they had put mw22 maps on mw19 the game would have been close to perfect.
First mistake was staying in a st petrograd lobby. Gunner runner, hackney, SH, KH, and rust were the bees knees. Then you add im gunfight and WZ before it became shit man pandemic cod was something special
Exactly fam. You just gotta back out of these sorry ass maps and stick to the hits and this game is a 10/10
MW2019 is my favorite FPS to date. Ground War was amazing until they killed it for Warzone.
Cod ghosts would be good to see again, seeing as it received so much hate when it was out. Yet is was the last BOTG COD with no gimmicky BS
I've been rewatching the whole FaZe Jev MW19 playlist and it makes me want to play it again
How do you play this again? I've got it installed and all packs but idk how to actually play it
Never played classic 6v6.
Anytime I watch old CODs I am also surprised at how there is virtually no recoil compared to MWII
Its coz MW19 is tied to warzone caldera I think
Back in 2020 when they attached Warzone to the new game, they made it so that playing ANY of those games (including Warzone) would give you progress in all of the games.
Nobody dissects COD games better than you.
One fatal flaw, tho. it's terrible for streaks.
@NapoleAn3 like?
Like pretty much all the lethal streaks? lmao
You can still use UAV, Advanced UAV and Juggernaut
@@HaraldQuake I like run vtol chopper gunner(or ac130) then Jugg for this map
@@maxton-_-4243 I remember at first it was a little weird with the segregated classes, and things like only being able to use suppressors on SMG’s. It was still ok for me personally, and then the overhaul happened and everything just got even better all around.
It was broken for about 7 months in many ways that would piss anyone off, took them too long to fix. They made a comeback after that.
WW2 was god awful.
Nostalgic :(
The MP7 was the sole reason I liked playing this game
Back when you had all your perks from the start and 2 stims
You were at Billiards on Petrogard before you got that 1 kill on 2nd level of restaurant.
1:46 that about sums it up
I really liked the gameplay itself in MW19 but the maps held the game back so much. Didn’t really like any of the maps at all. Also the 725 and Mk2 Carbine were busted.
Mw2019 multiplayer imo was built for s&d and hardpoint
If this game had an FOV slider I'd still be playing it tbh
omg fr dude
Ah the nostalgia hit when the MW2019 outro played at the end of the video
As much as I disliked almost everything about MW2019 on 6v6, it still has the most satisfying movement and gunplay of any COD on a base level (even if movement is OP)
Best gunsmith in any COD. I can use any gun and make THE most goofy classes. Never got old
I was never a huge fan of MW19 tbh. God awful balancing (monolithic suppressor rendering every other attachment useless), crappy maps, Ghost working while not moving, no red dots on the minimap, obnoxious movement, plus a plethora of garbage decisions IW have came up with.
The way og warzone and mw19 ran on a ps4 slim was peek moments in gaming history .I cant still believe how good this game perform n look on just a ps4 slim broooo no texture poppin,no fps drop with those high graphics was like a dream .If a game like mw19 ran like this on a ps4 slim there's exuses to other games .This game is such a legendry game
Definitely need to see you play some Cold War. I miss that game more and more every day…
That game was so underrated
Cold War gave me strong Black Ops 2 vibes. The best modern day CoD I’ve played
Since FFA is my main, I had a little bit of fun with it. No where NEAR the amount of fun I had with WW2. The Doors / Foot volume / SBMM / disbanding lobbies killed it for me. Warzone saved this for me and its why I grinded for Damascus a year or two later.
gunfight saved this game for me. super fun. then they didn't have it for MW2 until after i lost interest in the game.
The FOV got me spoiled i cant play any of the older games locked with that FOV... it just feels so slow
I will always love this game for introducing Cyber Attack, had so much fun with a full squad of friends
He literally couldn’t find no one even tho it was a full game and kept dying by campers, he quit and never came back
It was only missing an FOV slider
I feel like the stuff that make you dislike MW2019 carried into most of the next games with few exceptions, loud footsteps, no ninja perk, SBMM, micky mouse spawns, disbanding lobbies, if anything MWII has that and more, like no red dots, the only better thing in MWII are the maps I think and camo system.
I don´t know why St. Petersburg is so dark
i bought this game and i still can not play it, always different error or just can not find a game, they do it on purpose i think
ive played MW2019 for 3 years. and EVERYTHING in mw2019 is better than in MW2. only thing MW2 has is novelty, the drill charge and score streaks
props to you for even using the mw2019 intro
Things I prefer in MW19 over MWII:
- General gunplay feels smoother and tighter in MW19
- Visual Recoil isn't as present in MW19, it is ridiculous and annoying in MWII
- Movement feels a lot smoother, faster and therefore more responsive (not talking slide cancel)
- Specialist streaks
- Dead Silence field upgrade vs the MWII version (I still want a Ninja perk)
- Graphics look better and more realistic to me compared to MWII
- Unlockable skins for Operators through operator challenges
- Presence of an Obsidian camo challenge
- Operators in general were much better
The 2019 intro gave me chills.
seeing 80 fov again is weird now
crazy because this is all I played on until mw2
how are there people STILL using the M4 and AS VAL on this game?
Poor balancing by Infinity Ward, enough said.
IMO.
Cold war and vanguard in my opinion had faster movement then both mw19 and mw2.
@@powerg3824 I do agree that general movement speeds were faster, but I felt like the fluidity and animations of those games (especially Cold War) just didn’t feel as good as MW2019’s.
@@powerg3824 Faster doesn't mean better. MW19 still has my favorite movement of any shooter, except maybe Quake 3.
Man, you should never play TDM in MW19 or MWII... Plays WAY different then hardpoint or headquarters. Usually get 50-100 kills a game in those modes
Ace never stops firing shots at MW 2019 lol (4:06)
Me and my mate's had way more in mw 2019
This is my opinion on what i think are the pros and cons of both games perk system and specific about the perks as a whole. You can share your opinions too.
Pros and Cons of MW2019 perks:
Pros: Some of the perks actually had a useful effect on equipment such as cold blooded made it harder for AI to detect you, you didn't appear on Thermals, some gave you equipment back such as Restock, Ghost was a powerful stealth option because of UAV's, A good selection of Picks that have a certain effect. You can have Specialists which you earn per every 2 kills (1 for first perk + 2 for the other 2 if Hardline is equipped as a base main perk)
Cons: There are perks that i believe shouldn't be a perk and that even to get Score streaks, it shouldn't be some sort of perk as it becomes a waste of a perk, Some of the perks were just pure out useless and didn't help enough.
Pros and Cons of MW22 perks:
Pros: You do get rewarded on getting better perks even though you earn them fast in a match which is nice, The perk balancing is perfection, You can have more perks (4) than MW2019 (3) for the base amount for when you have gotten all.
Still can’t believe they removed maps from the rotation
MW19 was garbage.
Hardpoint and Headquarters are the only good respawn modes in this game. But some lobbies will be pretty rough solo.
You're forgetting FFA.
The guns felt a lot better in this game. A lot of the other things are the same or better in MW2, but gunplay by itself this is superior.
In MW2019 we had better Perk System and Specialist Bonus so in fact MW2019 was better. No discussion
I didn’t find absolutely anything in mw22 to be better than in mw19 in regards to aesthetics and gameplay. Do share what you think was better
@@tasha4400 graphics are a big plus. Yhe introduction of the drill charge alone makes camping less of an issue. In tandem with that, the map design is definitely superior (albeit still leaning towards the larger side for the most part). The camo system is vastly superior. As much as I despise how it's been done, the weapons are better balanced relative to one another (MP, not WZ, and I don't think the TTK is where it should be)
@@HaraldQuake at least we dont have to waste a perk slot for score streaks

Gameplay is much more predictable in mw19 lol. You’d know when spawns flipped. You can also actually see where ppl are shooting from the compass at the top of the screen unlike mw22’s small compass. In mw22 is where the spawning was extremely random and more so team based. I have never in my life spawned on my own grenade I threw across a map until I played mw22. Also never had my team and enemy team constantly spawn in the very same corner altogether
