Wow I just kinda did this 2weeks ago I scanned my grandmother's handwriting from her glomour shots photo and I used it to put on a canvas I sublimated on. Good to know I can do it in cricut. I took me a week trying to figure out how to do it. Great minds think a like.
Great video! Another option if someone doesn’t have a scanner is to simply take a picture with your phone and email it to yourself. Then open it on your computer and take a snippet or screenshot, which automatically saves as a png, and can then be uploaded into cricut design space. 👍
Yes I explain that in the video. It’s the first method I show but you don’t need to do snippet or anything you just upload the image to design space. You are making more steps than need be
Because the preview actually messes up the image the more times you click it. This has been a terrible glitch in design space for a long time. It’s still occurring for me and many others. I know other people don’t have the same glitch so you maybe a lucky one without it
Thank you, Corrine! Your examples look great! I liked seeing how scanning is an option. Thanks, too for pointing out the reason for the difference in cut vs print then cut in the upload area. Does this work with the engrave &/or deboss blades?
Corrine. I need help. I make badge reels and keychains. I need to learn how to make my own svg file but also create the acrylic blank to fit it perfectly. Do you teach this? I know there are places you can order them from together but I need to create my own. Can you help me?
I have lots of videos about creating your own SVGs. I would look at the ones I made for using canva. I would also watch the videos in my inkscape playlist
@@vthom5379 inkscape is the way to go. My videos are easy to follow. once you know the basics its an easy program. As for creating the blanks to match I do not have videos on that because I hate working with acrylic blanks. However your best bet if you have already purchased the blanks would be to scan them and then make sure the measurements are the same in the design software as they are for the physical blank. But the best way to do it would be to have your acrylic blanks cut from the SVG you have created or cut them yourself using a laser

Thank you! My Mom has passed and I have cards with her handwriting. Can’t wait to try this!
I’m so sorry for your loss. I am sure you will make something really special. Sending you love!
Thank you so much for this. I'm working on a memorial project. Now I can add their signature to personalize it.
This is great! I can’t wait to give it a try!
Excellent video! Thank you so much for sharing!❤
This was awesome. You explained it well. TFS🌴💕

Before clicking apply why not image preview? I redid so much before realizing that preview was up on the right lol. Love this, can't wait to try!

Hmmm thanks, maybe I don't click it more than once 🙆♀️ that cant be lol. Now I'll have to pay more attention!!

It will do an outline with those blades
@@CorinneBlackstone Thanks 🙂

@CorinneBlackstone omg Inkscape is overwhelming. What about creating the blanks to match the svg, any videos?
