Impressive effort! I really like the lighting ideas.
You can make superglue more brittle by putting the item in the freezer for some hours. Some time ago I bought some built-but-unpainted Galleon tanks, and after a day in the freezer they fell apart cleanly, not even the guns pinned into the chassis posed a problem.

Thank you. That is great advice about super glue. I will have to give it a go next time.
