He plays in the German second division and he decided to play a player who isn’t quick and drifts inside against him he’s an absolute 🤡

Against Slovakia it was 90+ minutes of slow passing. And they had to be shook awake by Schranz's goal. Switzerland will punish that kind of play with multiple goals (like they did against Italy) and then control the match.
Now England has better players than Italy by far. So I want to be proven wrong. Honestly. I do. But something really needs to change soon for that to happen.

Under him England have always been negative and boring to watch, but clearly now we see that top players putting in good performances and easy fixtures were masking just how bad a manager he is. From the squad selection onwards this tournament has shown him for what he is.
The thing is you still have so many people who defend him and throw out the line that “he’s the best manager we’ve had since 1966” its actually ridiculous how someone who played professional football has absolutely no understanding or insight into tactics. The game changer was Cole palmer, the moment he came on you could see Bellingham raise his game significantly. I am no Chelsea fan but they have a fantastic player there. Palmers energy and urgency is what most of us watching feel the team needs …….except Gareth unfortunately

It's horrible. It feels like such a WASTE.
It's one thing to screen out the noise, it is another to pig-headedly stick to a game plan which time and again is proving problematic. Has Anthony Gordon offended him or something? Why won't he address the obvious need for a genuine threat on the left? Everyone in the country can see that Foden and Bellingham together isn't working, why not play one at a time, 60 or 70 minutes then sub the other one in? (and keep both fit and fresh?) He is making minuscule changes instead of the bold steps that are needed.

The team played way much better with players like Palmer, Mainoo, Eze and Toney. Put players who are hungry to prove something. This England team management is kind of like a joke. You have PL superstars but there is alot ball posssion with low rate of shots at the goal. The team needs a new style of play because the potential is there you can see it. But this Euro 2024 is not it man.
Eze and Palmer deserve the time… Maino has talent but didn’t see anything special from him today.. he made mistakes too… and Toney seems out of shape a bit / form. Midfield too weak and they can’t figure it out… Rice needs to be much much better.

England just giving non answers. They played absolutely abismal football. Look at how Spain reacted to being a goal now. They pressed so far up the pitch and found such creative solutions for how to make it through. The difference is absolutely night and day. It was solely a moment of brilliance from Jude that saved England from one of the most embarrassing tournaments they’ve ever taken part it.
Of course they are questioning the performances. Every match in this tournament has been a struggle for England. How are you still trying to figure it out, 8 years into your job? The criticism is deserved. England played well for 5 minutes and somehow he think that their critics should be silenced? Good grief, this mindset is just incoherent and absolutely wrong.
Southgate is not addressing any of the glaring issues. The Swiss will have a field day if there is no change is tactics, and in the mentality of the players.

I think Southgate would rather lose and it be his decisions and under his control than win because of a change of tactics that came from someone else.
Up to 94.5 minutes, this was one of the worst performances I've seen in my lifetime and I'm 39. The lack of any sort of recognition of this from Southgate is astonishing. I don't care how nice the guy might be, poor tactics, terrible selections, no subs, no clue. Awful.

He dares mention Ivan Toney????? He put him on at 94 minutes FFS. Previously he put Gordon on at 86 minutes. It's not fair on good players to do that.
