Take your time with it. It's a little tricky. My Home Sweet Home video might be a better introduction to this tuning.

@@JimPankey I WILL FOR SURE!!! Thank You!
To paraphrase a line from Christmas Story movie: Wild Jimbo is putting out new banjo videos again, and all is right in the world.
😆
Good to see you back Jim. Can't believe I am going to give this a go. You have taken me from the ten lessons to trying to learn tunes such as this.
Thank you and congratulations on your recovery.

Thanks Anne!

@Jim Pankey I've been trying this song for a couple days.
My Dad had the same operation/removal as yourself and yes, mental healing from the worry and stress is just as important as the physical healing .
Great to see you back at it and thank you Jim 👏👏💪🪕
Thanks 🙏🏼
Good to see you..N doing well...
I’m doing better than I deserve. 😊
Thanks Jim! I recommend this tune in your livestream and got real excited when you said you'd make a video for it. I love seeing my favorite songs get shared all around. If you're looking for more lesson ideas, Don't Give Your Heart to a Rambler.

Look at all those comments welcoming you back. You must be doing something right eh Jim? Have a fabulous Christmas, stay warm! We're sweltering here in New Zealand.
Thank you. Merry Christmas!
Is that tshirt from the Taco Stand in Athens, GA??? Fond memories of that place, happy to see that shirt and see you doing so well!
It is!! I think they still have some.
Your looking well MrJim, and back to your old self at the picking so you are. This tune Darling Corey looks deceptively simple but is far from it.
However its not beyond any levels of playing we just need to keep at it.
Jim would you please show us how you play the Ould Spinning Wheel. Its a great old tune which the great Raymond Fairchild was well known for.
For anyone unfamiliar with that tune or Raymond, it was kinda Raymonds signature tune I believe.
Jim you know of Raymond and the Spinning Wheel, of that I am certain.
Thanks MrJim for another great lesson.
That's a great suggestion! I was playing that tune this evening.
@@JimPankey Your right its very popular, I look forward to your rendition Mr Jim.
May I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Merry Xmas from us in Devon UK.
I love the tune rye whiskey and I was wondering if you could do a tutorial video for it, love your style of teaching
Never thought about that one. I’ll think about it. Not really much of a banjo tune in my mind though.
@@JimPankey sorry I meant the one by stringbean, didnt know there was more than one version, and thanks so much for your consideration in advance
Toughest one yet but good to aim to another level of playing 😁
This one does have a couple of tricky bits.
What are those wild looking silver cases back there? Nice lesson!
Case covers from ClimateCase.
Happy to hear your recovering well. Tech question ... Limited funds (disabled):can you recommend any particular planetary runners for a cheap RK open back, like a used dirty thirties.
Gotoh is my go to.
Hi, Mr Pankey!
I'm a 17-year-old homeschooler and I have been teaching myself bluegrass banjo using your videos for several months. I've completed your beginners bluegrass lessons and learned a few other songs. Thanks to your videos I have come quite a way since October, and I have really developed a passion for bluegrass. I've decided I'd like to learn to read music and I was wondering if you have any sources/books you would recommend? Thanks so much!
I’m thrilled that I’ve been about to help you learn. Unfortunately, I don’t really have any resources to point you toward for learning to read notation. I learned to read for guitar when I was 29 years old… My reading skills are very limited.
@@JimPankey Alright, thank you!
Hi Jim. Do you think you can make a lesson for the way Adam Lee Marcus plays “Dixie” It’s my favorite cover of the song on banjo. Also glad you are doing well.
I have zero plans to do a lesson on Dixie.
Hey Jim. I really love listening to you, Im getting zero percent better at banjo, but any chance youd do a video on how to play the irish song "An Maidrin Rua"?
Its a fun little banjo song with some great accordion if you check out The Pogues.
It's a song Id really like to learn, and its very calming and chipper.
Just a suggestion.
Love your videos and personality. Be safe and happy in the coming years!
I'm likely the last person that needs to be teaching any Irish tunes. :)
@@JimPankey Hah, fair enough Jim!
Jim where is your song the “rarest flower of all?” Have loved that song you wrote for your wife or your girlfriend. Cannot find it anymore really needed to hear it again. It’s a genius / melody Aragment

Hi Jim, I bought my first banjo about 35 years ago and admittedly played AT it till I lost it in a divorce. I recently got turned on to your channel and got inspired to try and pick it up again. I looked all over for a RK-R20 and just can't find one so I switched over to a Gold Tone CC 100R. 1) Have I made a decent decision? 2) I followed your tutorial on setting up a new banjo and found that after I had removed the resonator and I tried to tighten the screws on the head, I started at the neck and worked my way around adjusting 1/4 turn. When I got to the ones at what would be half way. I found them to be loose and when it tightened them they would turn and come off of the head ring. I just can't get the darned things to stay in place so I can adjust the other side. PLEASE HELP! Might I add starting all over with your 10 lesson series. You're an amazing picker. Thanks Jim.
Yeah... it's common for them to loosen as you go around... Everything is still settling in. You can go around again and just snug those up.
What kind of D tuners are they?

Welcome ! I again look for You : l see Smile on Your face , and ...and crying You eyes. Why ? Eyes this is mirror soul .
You need help ?
I'm good. Just relieved and happy to be back and getting better every day.
@@JimPankey Welcome !
I don't know english languae. I am using a telephone interpreter. I do not know You . I saw Your video. I saw sad eyes. That's why I wrote to You.
Sometimes l look into someone is eyes and ser something in them. People often put on masks.
Sometimes they' don't know what they' are feeling.
The soul speaks with the eyes.
Someone may be worried about work , health , depression...
Sometimes the soul suffers a lot and then the body becomes ill.
Some people are mirrored ( mirror ) . How it's working . You look at such a person ( a photo is engouh ), and You see joy in then , this joy is yours. You see the pain , the pain is Yours. I met such a woman , a Polish woman.( UA-cam)
You were sick , were You ? The title of Your video.
Do not worry. Do what You love, make Your childhood dreams come true and always think well.
You soul must be happy.
I wish Your that.
And l love music. Greek guitar , Scottish bagpipes , Lute , hurdy gurdy and harp.
I greet You and good luck.
