I've never been a street busker, but this song reminds of when my youngest son, Jonathan, got a street entertainer's licence and went busking with his guitar in Huddersfield and Dewsbury, when he was temporarily unemployed. He had not flown the nest back then, so he had no bills to pay, and he earned a decent amount of pocket money. He later started doing a few paid pub gigs, but when he got a full-time job, with some overtime, he stopped doing gigs. A shame, in a way, but you can't spread yourself too thinly! Anyway, this is a very good song Robin, which speaks directly to people such as me!
We used to play the working men's clubs in Huddersfield and Dewsbury, Robert - tough gigs. LOL I've never had the guts to busk, and if I had, my wife would've had something to say about it.🤣Thank you for dropping by for a listen, my friend. Always appreciated.
