Thanks to my friend Tim Oehlers for the song suggestion! I highly recommend checking out Tim's guitar compositions: www.youtube.co...
Best version I've heard on guitar by a mile. Well done brotha. Thanks for helpin us out!
I'm hungover and still managed to learn it, awesome tutorial thanks!
Fantastic video. Thanks!
Quite authentic version! Nice that you put so much attention on the timing!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks Scott!
Thanks Scott. My Friend suggested we cover this song and I instantly went into trauma. I have only just started to learn guitar (play bass mainly) and your tutorial has helped immeasurably.
Thanks again and I will be checking out some more of your tutorials.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was able to learn this song very quickly, it is the best version on guitar that I found and you explain it in a way that is perfectly understandable even for someone who does not know a single note, like me :)
You are a very competent and skilled player with a gift of teaching. You should share more about yourself so people have an insight to you the person as well as the artist. I found your version of Colorblind to be one of the most, if not the most accurate version on UA-cam. Thank you.
Thank you for pdf file!!!! GREAT JOB!!!! :)
Greetings from Poland :)

Hi Veronica! Sorry for the slow reply. Buying a first guitar, the most important thing to keep in mind is playability. There are a lot of junk instruments out there that are difficult to play. If you're interested in an acoustic guitar, there are reputable builders such as Yamaha, Fender and Seagull that produce good entry-level guitars. Ideally, if you have a friend who already plays, ask them to go with you to a guitar shop to try out guitars before you buy.
BTW, the guitar I use in these videos is an Art & Lutherie, a Canadian builder (a subsidiary of Godin). They make good quality instruments in the $300-400 range.
think i left a negative comment when i had no clue how to play guitar - great tutorial now i know what your talking about - Thanks for a gr8 song to add the songbook 🍻
The important thing is, you stuck with it. Glad you found the video helpful!
i loved this !
Dude you're talented
I always wanted to learn this song but the tabs out there are so confusing and in my opinion wrong. Thanks for taking the time to make this video! I learned the song :)
Melissa Parada - hey, thanks! Glad the video helped!
nice 1 man, great help
thanks!
Consider yourself "allowed." Sounds good, man!
This was wonderful. I clicked the links for the tabs, but they aren’t there. Can you send them to me? I’m new to playing so seeing it in paper really helps. Thank you for the video!
Thanks
I agree with the previous comment, you seem like a very smart guy

Need to comeback to it...

P.s I was somehow able to learn this when I knew no chords and struggled now that I know how to play lol strange one - still very good tutorial I think I shall subscribe ;)

Hi Courtney! At my website, I added a PDF of this lesson in standard notation and tablature (a link is in the description above). Let me know if that helps!
There is no pdf
@@waitsinstrumentsllc2611 I checked the link, and it still seems to work: scottwilliamsguitar.com/counting-crows-colorblind-guitar-lesson/
In the sentence "A PDF of this lesson in standard notation and tablature is available here," click on the word "here." The PDF should then open up.
Thankx hun
Hi im a beginner an plan to purchase my first guitar ....what kind you think would be best for a beginner .......does it matter
hey i posted a video response to this of me playing, it say you have to allow it? made a few mistakes but think they were kinda small
I'm never really sure what you mean by 4th string, 1st string etc. Can you say eadgbe plz :) x
how old are you? there should be an age limit on youtube
You seem like a genius bro. Sounds great, but it's too complicated for me.
Werr do i play this without capo
wait what is fingering pattern for the riff??!?!?!
dave matthews band - out of my hands. this is a good piano song but may be a little too simple on guitar.
where are you from, man?
Toledo, Ohio (really, a suburb five minutes from Toledo).
aghhh i can't get it, You make it look so easy :(
Hey Lauren, sorry for the slow reply. If you haven't already, check out my tablature for the lesson. There's a link in the description. Also, you may find it helpful to isolate the movements for each hand. You can practice the left-hand chord forms and right hand pattern separately. Once you are comfortable with what each hand needs to do, you can combine the two. That's a practice idea I picked up studying classical guitar. I hope that is helpful!
Oh Thanks I never even seen that, i just need to keep practicing.
this would win britains got talent!!!!!!
Thanks OBS, glad you enjoyed the video!
I struggled to find your 2nd chord, don't think it's explained great, camera angles struggled to see what hand was where, good tutorial, but lacked help for beginners in my opinion
OMG i tought u were mod ash
Sooooo much talking i was starting to get bored. If this wasn't one of 2 other vids, i would of watched someone else. Lol
