Seth, got a question for you concerning bit changes in Easel. I use Easel but my machine is a OneFinity. My question is, how does the bit change work with that setup? I want to use an 1/8" downcut to hog out my material, then use a 90 deg Vbit for the detail pass. I have that all set up in Easel. I'm thinking the code will stop the machine for a bit change after hogging out so I can put in the 90. But I'm not sure how to start the program back up for the detail pass only the Onefinity. I see on the Inventables machine, it lets you do that. Or do I have to run a separate gcode for the detail pass? Any ideas?
For the 1f you'll have to download the gcode and with a 2 bit carve its 2 seperate files. You'll want to swap bits with the machine turned on and set z zero for the 2nd bit, but leave x,y zero as it was and the 2 bits will be properly aligned.. do beware that v bits really need a perfectly parallel top surface, so if you haven't surfaced the workpiece on the cnc first you might want to check out my video on shimming the workpiece with playing cards, or you might notice imperfections in the details.
Probably the cheapest online is Amazon, but not the biggest selection. amzn.to/3z5rau4 Most major cities have a couple manufacturers, or at least large scale resellers that will sell smaller pieces at an even cheaper price than Amazon.
Thank you
Thank you. Good stuff.
Great Video. Direct and to the point while showing everything discussed. Thanks
Thanks again Seth! This video helped with my issue!
I learn something all the timeThanks for the info
Thanks Seth.
Thanks Seth I will look around here.

@@SethCNC Thanks Seth! Appreciate the info.
Seth, where is a good place online to buy the two color PVC or acrylic?

Good method tutorial
Glad you think so! 🙂
The workspace is 30 inch but the work piece is 48 inch. ??? How did you deal with that?
Thata a good point; if you need, you could use easels tiling function. My cnc has a 50"x50" workspace so I haven't had that issue yet 😉
Can you make a video on how to layout work piece in easel? Also how to use the tile section.?
