  • At first glimpse, this looks like a standard caddis dry fly pattern, but in a size #8-10, it makes a great terrestrial hopper pattern. An easy to tie classic from the legend Polly Rosborough.
    Hook: #8-10 dry fly
    Thread: Gray
    Rib: Ginger hackle, trimmed
    Body: Cream yarn
    Underwing: Yellow bucktail
    Overwing: Mottled turkey quill
    Hackle: Ginger and grizzly
