Hey everyone, what do you think of my new channel intro video? I was thinking it might be better to skip the talk at the beginning and just cut to the music-video...but I ended up leaving it as it.
Anyway, thanks for watching. Now what should we do next?

I liked it. I think the intro before the music video was good since it sets the tone for how your channel is different than most.

Very interesting! I am very curious where you are from originally and how you ended up living in Japan. Twenty years is a very long time! Did you ever think you would live there that long? What were your expectations when you first went to Japan, and how do you think living in Japan has changed you as a person?
I spent many years living in Spain, Germany and England. But I have also been back here in Chicago for a long time. The funny thing I have noticed is that now I don’t feel completely at home in any one spot. I miss things from each place I have lived, yet when I am back there I miss Chicago. Sigh!

@@maryannebrown2385 Thanks for the comment! I know what you mean about feeling attached to multiple locations. I have a complicated-enough feeling just between Canada (where I lived for the first half of my life) and Japan…but it must be even more so when you have lived in so many places, like you have.
You ask good but challenging questions. My experience here has definitely not been what I expected. And has changed me a lot, too! I think I need to make a video to introduce myself and answer these questions properly!

Hello Jordan, love the video. What I do love about you is how you overcome problems there. I saw your comment in Mrs. Eats video about why you'll hate living there, and your advice really helps. I'll be living there sonn. Thank you so much for the wisdom. Keep it up!

Thanks for the comment! I hope that my advice will turn out to be useful. In my own case, I think it was mostly just luck that things worked out how they did. But it’s all been a learning experience for sure! So where in Japan are you going to be living, btw?

Your intro on this video was great. You have a captivating personality, I really believe you should do more vlogs and explain in layman’s terms to tourists who would travel to your neck of the woods

I watch a lot of videos about Japan since 2019… So please…
    1) No boring walking videos > 30 minutes where nothing interesting happens
    2) No just another walk in Akihabara… blah blah…
    3) No more Shybuya crossing…
    😀👍

Certainly those snaps shown in the video look just like what *I* have seen in Japan, unlike what's shown in certain other channels. Will have a look around.

@@Jordan-inJapan Used to live part-time in Mie, travelling has mostly been all around Mie. Mountain hiking here and there, including in Kumano. I've also been in the nearby prefectures (mountains included), to a limited extent. Been to a few of the bigger cities, but not that much. Planning to move (back) to Mie when I get a bit closer to retirement age (my wife is Japanese, from Mie).
