Good point but that’s the past and that was more of a coaching issue with gerrard gallant the devils series was inexcusable. But the lightning series a couple years ago was his lack of adjustments because he knew his team was tired after winning 2 series that went to game 7s so the rangers were gassed as that series went on which lead to them losing 4 straight games. Like I said it was more of a coaching issues

Both goalies should be proud of their play...... because they both have been solid.....but the difference in the opening games is special teams and....more importantly.... Igor making some elite saves with the game on the line

The reason Robinson is hurt is because of Joel Embid. Gio before you question the player acknowledge the circumstances.
As much as I enjoyed that game, seeing our lines add up many minutes I really want to have the conversation of should we switch out Rempe for either a Brodzinski or Chytil. So in those tighter games that drag out, we can then run 4 full lines by adding that extra skill and speed. Plus, we would not be double shifting guys to give them more rest.

@edsalmon6319 True. However when he gets only a handful of minutes throughout the duration of a game, especially longer ones, that his spot being on the bench could just become a potential downside the deeper we go on.
It hurts more than these guys believe because Hartenstein has had injuries this year and if he gets banged up they will have to play the rest of the way with Jericho Simms as center. Despite Mitch not playing many minutes....he was giving Hartenstein a breather without giving up a defensive presence on the floor.
The guys are definitely right… the game at the beginning and in the second felt like the Rangers Defense was asleep and they made it easy for the Canes to skate around and do whatever they wanted like they had a man advantage…. Hopefully they watch the videos , fix their defense (Trouba especially)and play Game 3 and 4 like a Game 7
Carolina really didn’t play well in game 1 though. It was only close due to 3 minutes at the end of 6 on 5 play
Team is more disciplined this year. They are protecting the net front better. Vinnys contract was a bargain. They also are good at fighting back from behind.
There’s so comparison between the islanders and the rangers. Stop it 😂

Actually watched some hockey last night cause saw Rangers were in OT.. not a fan of rangers or hockey but figured why not see what the hockey fuss is all about.. I think it had excitement cause it was OT and crazy that they can play that many games with that contact….. but still left feeling like there is no way I can watch this on the reg… just feel like the passes rarely go where they want it to, and still so hard to follow puck.. just a lot of skating and missed shots/bad passes…..bring back the tv colored puck 😂
Following the puck takes some practice. And passing is harder in the playoffs because the checking is tighter. Actually, everything is harder in the playoffs. Disrupting the other teams plays is a huge strategy.
