Apple just released iOS 18 Beta 3 to registered developers and it contains more than 21 new features and changes, including changes in the Control Center, keyboard, Home Screen changes, Fitness app changes, Flashlight changes, and more! They need to make a “favorite emoji” section
I’ve always hated the emoji picker and now it’s a lot better but I do agree that we need that. I’ve personally wanted a way to hide emojis from the emoji picker because there’s so many I don’t use.
I was hoping that's what was coming with this beta based off the thumbnail for this video. Hopefully they add it soon.
does anyone have an issue with the raw max feature. everytime i click a picture with raw max it gives me a error message and the picture is pixelated.

@@IrachoD most people use like 4 emojis and the rest of the frequently used emojis are filled with others you almost never use. That’s why I’ve never been a fan of it
Am I the only one who liked the rounded corners for the photo view in the Photos app? I’ve never liked seeing my photos right up to the edge of my phone.
I thought the expanded rounded image looked SO clean and I’m not even a camera/photo person

@@Tactical_Taco What about the previous design did you not like? Just curious. I didn’t think it really made the photo much smaller and made it feel like you were actually looking through photographs. Similar to the changes made to the Settings page where they gave each section a rounded box for a simpler look. The rounded corners are all throughout iOS and make everything have a softer appearance and look more modern so I thought it was a nice change.

The way photos are displayed or viewed individually was a nice change in 18b2. Now reminds me of the old photo app.

Coming from Beta 2 and using Beta 3 for around 10h now I can say battery and smoothness of the OS feel much better.
Just got it and I love it, especially the flashlight change and the app icons

Is it just me or is the whole layout in the messages app darker, making it look hella cool on oled screens?
One you missed: in control center, add a control, scroll down and there are additional accessibility controls you can add.

I enjoyed the rounded photos in beta 2.Something fresh.
I was having problems with my apps on my Home Screen not showing . Hope updating it fixes the issues
For beta 1 and 2 all my apps kept on getting deleted like it was so annoying I hope beta 3 fixes this

Brandon is it possible to control the focus of the flashlight without Dynamic Island, eg iPhone 12, 13, 14
I hope they let us choose control center pages for specific focus modes like we already can for home screens, and lock screens

I liked the rounded edges
Tested out SMS via satellite last night in Glacier National Park and it worked great!
I didn't see the bug I had with the camera when taking photos from the lock screen, it doesn't let you see the picture you just took only a black box, and the camera crashed, and I even got a report notification about it. After installing the new B3, I noticed the screen lock icon was "unlocked" until I swiped, and it "locked" until I put in my pin.

I actually loved the rounded edges in Photos :)
I had so many issues with the beta 2.
- carplay only pays music on my phone speaker
- no audio on a lot of 3rd party apps

Well all betas get smoother as they go on.
Very happy to say I’ve had next to no bugs on beta 1 and have waited for 3 to update again as it’s been so stable. Good to see this seems like a solid update with general improvements
Then you haven’t tested enough of IOS 18’s new features. For example the new lock screen buttons that replace the static camera and flashlight buttons are buggy asf.

RCS is not working for me in beta 3.
Update* it’s working now but it doesn’t show delivered message at the bottom anymore.
I think one of my favorite features of beta three has to be the keyboard icons sooo much easy to find emojis

Control Center got destroyed in terms of looks in my opinion.
The first thing I expected from a control center redesign was to make it follow light/dark mode. Hopefully they’re working on that.

I’ve requested for YEARS the smallest font size goes down from 80% to something a lot smaller, at least 50%. Apple seem to be going backwards making things larger and larger each year.
Oh and another thing, want no app labels? Sorry, they HAVE to be bigger, it’s blindingly obnoxious and I really hope they change all of this

You can downgrade iOS I think with iTunes, but it will factory reset if you do that, not sure if you will risk deleting all your data for emoji size

Another fun thing I noticed - when trying to enable Screen Time -> Screen Distance and try to toggle it On, the settings crash.
Same for Communication Safety settings. Toggle the first one on then it crashes. Settings do not save when going back in.
Much of the day, my new iPhone 15 pro max is hardly usable because it gets fiery hot and my screen dims to where I can hardly see it. I don’t know what to do.

I honestly really liked the rounded photos in the photo app made the photos look like it’s on film idk it’s just nice
im running iPadOS beta 3 on my iPad air 5 and the Calculator app/ Math Notes completely crashes my iPad and makes it restart. also the Notes and Fitness app opens for maybe 10 seconds and it crashes and restarts the ipad

After the update, haptic keyboard feedback didn't work and it only started working after 2 reboots. Also, I have seen multiple videos on Beta 3 release but was refreshing your feed to see your video. What would we do without your video after the release :)

I think my photo widget for featured photos is still broken in mine. I have been setting photos to feature but never worked. I'm using iPhone 11. Let me confirm with network and Bluetooth stability, they've been dropping for no apparent reason in beta 1&2.

I think my customization of the Home Screen is broken. When I press customize it does nothing and the spring board went back to anchoring the icons in a row like on 17 instead of allowing me to put them where I want

I hope by the time the official updates come out we’re able to use our meomjis as regular emoji characters instead of stickers. Lol Ive always love the idea of meomoji and would use mine much more if I could use it anywhere
