you got yourselve some dany tires in the front wheels .
i have a 1545 with the same vflex deck and the wheels slip once in a while with the turf tires .
i was contemplating getting tires with an R14 profile somewhat like on this unit .
any problems ripping up the grass ?

Shot in the creek here I’ve got the exact same motor, turned her off and no give just spins no fire on start. Never had it turn off or anything. Mower is sitting in the middle of a field while I try and diagnose no start. Came across this video and I’ll try the sending unit. Anything in particular another than what you stated(fuel filter and diaphragm that the dealer had?) Appreciate it!

If your filter still has fuel in it it could also be the electric shut off solenoid you should be able to here it snap when you turn the key on & off

Nice. Running same f1145 but with a cab and snowblower at one of our schools. Got a call from the head custodian because the unit stopped running in the bus loop for student drop off. Heck of a time dragging it back to the shop with the blower also dragging and snow covered ice. Haven't had time yet to look into it to far as it happened yesterday during snow fall. My thought was sending unit or transfer pump. Looks like I'll start at the sending unit and suction tube. Been running strong fer 25 years without much repair just maintainence. If it's just the tube that broke, that's saying alot about John deere.

You can also check the shut off solenoid you should hear it clicking with the key on & off& check the little fuel filter too if it’s a suction problem the filter will probably be empty or close to it

Cant wait to see work start on the Desoto and the pick up. I had a friend that had a ‘63 with the inline 6 cyl. I think if I remember it was a 292. I did a lot of work on that Ol Girl and loved that truck. I was so sad when he sold it
