  • I love this model! It has some of the best details I've seen on these models. The engine bay is full of detail as is the rear of the body with a couple containers and hoses. The MaxER is very detailed as well. Hoses from the mast and main boom winches all tie in at the body. Looks really cool. No brakes on any of the winches is the biggest problem so I stuffed foam in between the drums and drum housings to jam the winches so they hold in position. Otherwise, great model and highly recommended adding to your collection. Thanks for watching.

Hi Jeremy, awesome model you got! It's a big boy and very cool looking. Tie-offs on the Manitowoc are in the middle of the sheaves and I've been using a small piece of wire insulation to make a nicer looking tie-off instead of a typical knot. Check my channel for several reeving videos and one in particular (Tie-off using a piece of insulation) and I explain what I'm using and how to do it. I've been using YCC "cable ends" but they don't fit on some ends of the Mani's. Always use a dab of super-glue on the knot whatever way you tie-off. Good luck and hit me up if you need any help.

There's a lot of outlets for them...Sarens Store, Mammoet store, msw-modelle.com, ebay (a little pricey), Buffalo Road Imports, 3000toys.com to get you started. Good luck my friend!

You stuffed foam in between. To lock the boom drum ?

In one of them yeah. I thought of something different on the next one and put rubber wedges in

lvdrums yea I put some rubber o-rings to help create friction on some of my models

I guess I should do a video about this since I've heard this problem from others. The little wedges seems to work the best but they are more visible.

Yeah that's a good idea for a brake. Do you remove the drum and put the o-ring on?
