Bruh, Pat hasn't been at BHVR for over 2 years. She left in September of 2021. She's doing the same job at her current employer, so that's why she was still a community manager in December.

Something interesting to me as a fan of DBD, D&D, and Magic the Gathering (who is owned by the same company as D&D) is that Magic is having a set themed around 70-80s horror (similar vibe to DBD) later in the year (near October). I’m curious if the rumor is true that Vecna is coming, I’m wondering if they’ll do a collaboration with all of Wizards of the Coast, or just the part dealing with D&D

Should be worth noting starting after the 50th anniversary of dungeons and dragons, Wizards of The Coast are going to be moving toward the next phase/ revision of the game. I think a lot of what was said in those dnd interviews were hinting at those changes.

Going weird is good though, it stops stagnation. Personally I think both would be very cool licences, DnD is massive and many adventures are extremely horror-based. Castlevania is just one of the most iconic depictions of (scary) vampirism in pop culture.

If it is Vecna, I think doing the dnd version would be a massive missed opportunity. I have a lot of respect for dnd but Stranger Things is so beloved and it would really suck to not get that version. Idk, really hope that’s the case.
At BHVR, when they collab with another studio/company they can only get what characters said studio possesses, Vecna from DND and from ST are 2 completely different properties, if they collab with DND they'll get the DND one, if they collab with Netflix, they'll get the Netflix one. They can't just choose to get a character and then decide what version of them they want.
Vecna in D&D is a more established and well known character, also more to work with and if you don't know the character from D&D lore I think you'd be surprised with how cool it would be to get that character in DbD

Why have another stranger things chapter its not a horror franchise. Dnd vecna has more horror in a fantasy story then ST ever had
I’d much rather see a Mindflayer come to DBD than Vecna. Mindflayers fit the tone perfectly, but I think that Vecna would be quite underwhelming, compared to his D&D counterpart.
Edit: Also, the Mindflayer Mori would be horrifying.

The amount of people complaining in comments about dnd vecna probably dont realize theyre likely doing this because of the demogorgon, they dont want to fully lose a license to a killer again after they got so burned. So theyre doing dnd vecna and almost certainly getting a ST vecna skin. Plus we will get a bunch of dnd skins aswell so this is the best case scenario
An ST Vecna skin would be very disappointing. Vecna from Stranger Things deserves the chance to be a playable character, with a Henry Creel/001 skin.

So BHVR tends to go for the original version of a character if they can get it. Vecna is from horror modules and being 40 years older than the stranger things.

It would be perfect for dnd to do a collabe this year for 3 reasons.
1. DnD will release One DnD, that's will be the last version of their game and so that can make a bit of publicity
2. The last big wave of player on DnD come from baldur's gate 3 (a other game) so that may make sence the wizard of the coast try to do come publicity on a other community
3. A part of the dbd community come form Stranger thing, a other big hitter for dnd

With D&D if they do add a killer it won't be Vecna, just because it directly clashes with a future Stranger Things collab that we definitely will see containing Vecna from ST.

Of all the people in the Video Game industry (several hundred at this point) I've met, about 30% are VERY into D&D and 20% are somewhat into D&D. I personally wouldn't read too much into it.

I believe if you edit a comment on UA-cam it will remove the creator like. I had posted something on Fog Whisperer Paul Esther's channel a couple weeks ago, but after he liked it, I re-read it and noticed it was riddled with spelling errors, so I edited it. After the edit I noticed it removed Paulie Esther's like. Presumably this is so you cannot trick YT creators into liking posts that you later change to say something awful/spammy. As for everyone following D&D (or WOTC employees like Chris Perkins) I think it's fairly normal to follow one of the biggest gaming past times and the creators currently working on it. It's a popular brand and hobby and D&D's legacy looms huge over video games in general. I do agree however that they are pushing Vecna as a "multiverse" enemy and it's a great licensing opportunity for WOTC to have Vecna pop up in other games. Time will tell. As a long time D&D player I'm hopeful, but I'm still not convinced yet.

I was trying to say that calling THE ORIGINAL VECNA "Vecna at home" is stupid. He's the character the ST one was named after. Vecna isn't even that character's actual name, it's just the name the kids gave him.
Demogorgon gets a pass imo because D&D barely does anything with the original Demogorgon and there's not much to him. ST Demo is definitely way cooler. But Vecna has been an iconic D&D villain since the game's earliest days.

I fully believe the rumors but I don't think we're going to get Vecna as a standard killer. To say Vecna is more powerful than any other killer BHVR has ever or could ever bring in is an understatement. Vecna was actually imprisoned in a realm similar to the Entity's realm called Ravenloft, and he got out, which is something not even villainous archwizards could do. He is a literal ascended god who transcends dimensions in the multiverse. It wouldn't make any sense for him to be chasing survivors on foot and getting stopped by planks of wood.
The entity can change peoples stats so fuck it make him get stunned by a slab of wood like nemesis who also no selled bullets in his trailer and smashed a wall effortlessly
@@gageunruh3574 That excuse works for most killers but Vecna is a literal god who already escaped a realm similar to the Entity's. Even if you were to depower him significantly, at his core he's a wizard. He kills people with magic, not by chasing and hitting them. And when I say "magic" I don't mean he hurls fireballs at you, I mean esoteric shit like turning your brain off, turning you to stone, disintegrating you, etc.

Plus the entity isnt just a universal god its multiversal considering its able to pull people through multiple timelines, dimensions, and can make fiction real like how to legion in the comics hillbilly isnt even a real guy he is a made up movie killer but in other universes the he is very real or make things real from people's thoughts alone.
The entity is VERY powerful and we havent even seen the limits as to what it can do yet.
Plus the entity doesnt need to force killers. It's also a deal maker like with pyramid head, it made a deal with silent hill to use him. It could easily just make deal with vecna so that he feeds the entity in return for something and not like a demon pact in dnd but just a normal bargain of exchange. "You kill people in my dimention and feed me and. I'll help you do some crazy shit"
The entity has its options. Brute force and take vecna and/or depower him or make a deal. The entity has alot of range to it which makes it's scary. It knows exactly HOW to have its cake and eat it too.
@@Zakon673Pinhead and Sadako are pretty fucking dangerous. Sadako especially is a near apocalyptic threat in some of the novels. If they could nerf her to work in DBD then they can absolutely make Vecna work

I just do not understand the vecna from D&D in Dead by Daylight... He is a LITERAL GOD In the Greyhawk setting. Like, how is the Entity now getting ACTUAL FREAKING GODS being trapped in its' realm?
Cause the entity is a fictional being and can be as strong as you need ot to be to stay the big bad. Like how superman can get asspull powerups to take down gods when a week prior he got his ass handed to him by a toy maker.

For me, it would be stupid for BHVR to make Vecna from DND for one simple reason: Stranger Things fans would be pissed off until the end of time. I already expect the forum to be flooded with negative posts and review bombing everywhere.
I don't believe the leak just for this reason. For goodness sake, Vecna from DND does not exclude Vecna from ST, they can coexist, but even in that case if they made the DND version first and then the ST version it would sound like a sop, like saying "We made your second chapter of ST, are you happy now?"

What if she is the mystery leaker we are talking about, and she's getting inside knowledge due to being the wife of the Game Director.
She might have just said her two favorite licenses to try and attract the community's attention to them. They are both oddly specific licenses, that she both likes. Feels too much to be a coincidence. The upcoming chapters may not be them, but she may be trying to build up hype around them to try and get the community talking about them.
Just a theory LOL, don't go harassing her for it. I doubt its true, but its fun to think about

I would hate this so much lol, ST part 2 could come out with season 5 being released. It would be much smarter, especially when it comes to marketing, the last season of Stranger Things is the most anticipated season among fans.
@@atlas__The anniversary chapter could get people excited about Stranger Things again. Netflix could start teasing Season 5 after that at any moment. Sounds like too good of a marketing move for both sides.
