  • The Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kazakh: Қазақстан Республикасының Мемлекеттік Әнұраны, romanized: Qazaqstan Respublikasynyñ Memlekettik Änurany) is the national anthem of Kazakhstan, adopted on 7 January 2006.
It is based on a 1956 patriotic song titled "Menıñ Qazaqstanym" (Cyrillic: Менің Қазақстаным, pronounced [mʲeˈnɘɴ qʰɑzɑqstɑˈnəm]; "My Kazakhstan") created by Kazakh composer Shamshi Kaldayakov and poet Jumeken Najimedenov. The original lyrics were modified in 2005 by the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, before the decree was issued.
Before 2006, a different anthem had been in use since independence in 1991, which used the same melody of the anthem of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic.
