Coming from a different course, hands-on was certainly good, but at a basics level with too much handholding left and right. I struggle to come up with purposeful, motivating scenarios to think through and solve from start to finish. That said, i'm in the 80s with my practice tests, and most of the things are kind of more AWS cloud specific. Oh, this thing can't write to S3? That looks like a reasonable solution, but these 2 services actually don't integrate? Logs and auditing across teams/accounts seem particularly esoteric from just-a-dev perspective. Alright, something something CloudWatch or CloudTrail, but there's usually 2 other more specific requirements in the question and i'm down to flipping a coin which particular set of options might include those. And of course there's the odd question that will just throw 12 lesser known (sub-)service names out, and you get to guess the ones that are relevant - the Personal Health Dashboard having nothing to do with your BMI is my most recent encounter. I feel like i've got the concepts well under control, but the glossary is just huge.

How big is the cloud (AWS, Azure) within the DoD environment? I’m currently working in GRC as a government contractor and looking at FedRAMP/Cloud roles. Would this cert or CCSP or CCSK be better to learn? I’m trying to gain knowledge and maybe not a specific cert!
CCSP and CISSP are well respected certs. I don't know much about CCSK honestly, and have never seen a job asking for it. The answer really depends on if you want to focus on Security, or if you want to focus on Cloud tech/operations and design. Either way tho - Cloud is huge in the public sector these days. Took a while for them to catch on, but had been gangbusters in government the past few years.

Hey Trevor, One question wanted to ask is , Should i go for Cloud Practitioner Certification first ,,, then go for Solution Architect . what your opinion? Does Cloud Practitioner Certification has weightage. or can directly go for solutions.
I would personally suggest someone who wants to be an engineer/architect in cloud computing to go straight for SA Associate. The CCP is a great cert, but I would only suggest that cert to people who don't aspire to be very 'technical' in their career. (ie. sales, mgmt, etc.)
@@saikumargv4079 You can, but I was actually suggesting you start with SA Associate. Not professional. Only go professional if you are already knowledgable on AWS.

Got to know the AWS solution architect associate exam is now changed to SAA-C03. So is the same Udemy course which you suggested(for SAA-C02) is still recommended for the SAA-C03? Also considering someone mainly from database background and want to continue in same, do you suggest any additional AWS certification for the database guys career path mainly. and also any available Udemy course for that?
Yes, the same udemy course is still very much useful as the instructor keeps updating the course content as things evolve. I really feel its worth the investment.
Can you prove that you actually spent 5 weeks and you only had networking experience in the IT industry? Not server, dockers, decentralisation architecture, encryption, DevOps.... etc? And you didn't get paid by Udemy?
@@ferdouspsyche7692 a lot of topics but nothing in-depth, its BS if you only have experience in only one area of IT (lets say networking) and be able to get certified in 4-5 weeks, even if you binge watch Udemy, acloudguru, Cantrill's videos, you still need to take notes, actively recall and draw some mindmap to memorize

10 slide/h is very slow. very very slow. Spending 6 mins on each slide isn't realistic. I'd suggest reading faster, and skipping slides you already know. Each review should get faster, because you can skip more slides as you understand the content on them.
Im interested about these slides. I find that the content is lot and ppl say take notes as you watch videos. How good are these slides, good enough for revision? Has just right amount of details?
Hello @Neofit Solovan. If you spent 8h a day studying and you could read at a pace of 10 slides per hour, you'll have read 80 slides at the end of the day. If you continued this pace for 5 days per week, you'd have flown through 450 slides. So, at your pace you'll finish all this stuff in less than 2 working weeks 😊

I have no experience in tech I’m a welder with 20years experience my brother is in tech and has been teaching me the cloud . I’m studying to get solutions associates my father was a network engineer he hated the fact I became a welder he said I would get tired of it and health issues he was right now I’m looking to exit with a new career path I’m excited 😜
right on! Good luck in the journey.
Thanks for sharing your exam insights👨🏫
challenge accepted. just got my cloud practitioner 4/20, trying for architect associate by may31. got that udemy course, already in acloudguru, woo
How did it go?
Thanks for the info, and your sartorial choices are very nice. :-)
@@trevspires I’m definitely focused on security, specifically risk management and compliance. I have my CISSP already so it sounds like CCSP is the next logical step! Thanks for the content!

Your content is outstanding. How you don't have more subs? This video REALLY helped me stay the course. Exam pending!
love to hear it!!!
I'm growing slowly but surely... every time I make a video, things grow. - so i'm on a 'slow and steady' path.
Thanks for your suppose, and good luck with the exam!
Challenge accepted, will keep you updated :)
Love it! Good luck
I studied using Cloud Guru, which questions can I do, to make me ready for exam?
Great content! You should make one video only for AWS Dev Cert
Hi, what Piano keyboard you have in background ?
Thanks! Hello from brazil :D
Appreciate the guide, starting my journey today to go from regular Systems Admin to Cloud something haha, I have background in networks and already have some experience with AWS, so hoping I can clear it after 5 weeks :) cheers
have you cleared your exam
I'm CCNA and been working on Enterprise networks for 3 years. Should i go straight for Architect Associate then the networking specialty track?
Id def check out SAA first. It will help with the networking cert.
Thank you it was this or the CCNA I will take this!!
Cool style, man)
I don't have any experience in aws even zero knowledge about aws so is it possible for me to crack this exam also i am fresher recently completed my Btech and please mention some course which are help me understand from basic
Please do video on azure vs aws
Solid information.
@@trevspires so we can go solution architect professional level Directly ? Without going for Solution architect Associate
@@saikumargv4079 You can, but I was actually suggesting you start with SA Associate. Not professional.
Only go professional if you are already knowledgable on AWS.
@@trevspires cool Sir, Thanks for the Info , i was so confused earlier to start with what cource first

Is ccna, aws ccp, aws saa enough to get cloud hired?
A very happy cloud computing career advancement to all who celebrate 🎉😂!
What about studying from books like Sybex??
Books are great is that’s your style
Hello Trevor, where I can find those slides of 'service 101' ?
If you snag the class from Stephane Mareek's udemy class, it comes with the slide deck.
I can't share them, the must be purchased through him.
Thank you!
Where to find practice questions for the exam?
Pls send help
Incroyable.
You can find some in the Udemy course of Stephane Mareek 👌
Do you think cloud practitioner is required before solutions architect if you are super noob level?
Doesn’t hurt if you’re super noob
cheers thanks for the info
Got to know the AWS solution architect associate exam is now changed to SAA-C03. So is the same Udemy course which you suggested(for SAA-C02) is still recommended for the SAA-C03? Also considering someone mainly from database background and want to continue in same, do you suggest any additional AWS certification for the database guys career path mainly. and also any available Udemy course for that?
Have you got an answer?!
Yes, the same udemy course is still very much useful as the instructor keeps updating the course content as things evolve. I really feel its worth the investment.
@@rajatharry hello rajat, is that course enough, so we need to look other resources to understand concepts
Can you prove that you actually spent 5 weeks and you only had networking experience in the IT industry? Not server, dockers, decentralisation architecture, encryption, DevOps.... etc?
And you didn't get paid by Udemy?
server, dockers, decentralisation architecture, encryption, DevOps probably included in that course ?
@@ferdouspsyche7692 a lot of topics but nothing in-depth, its BS if you only have experience in only one area of IT (lets say networking) and be able to get certified in 4-5 weeks, even if you binge watch Udemy, acloudguru, Cantrill's videos, you still need to take notes, actively recall and draw some mindmap to memorize
@@mcorleone77 good point, sounds like you know that area very well, I'm not. I'm trying to get in. I'm studying for ccna, what do you suggest the road map to Cloud industry ?
@@ferdouspsyche7692 CCNA is the very basic , CCNP would give you much between understanding of how layer 3/4 of network works, but in terms of getting a job, network virtualization would pretty much replace all traditional networking jobs because but hey you gotta start somewhere
@@mcorleone77 Will try VMwere, vSphere, ESXi, vCenter after CCNA. What do you think ?
I am taking practice tests from udemy and I got 49, 58, and 63 in 3 tests.. is it normal or am I lagging??? PS still I have 3 practice tests left .
yeah, they are difficult af. Try whizlabs
if AWS SAA is like a CCNA, AWS CCP for me is like a CCENT
can i still use this for this year?
Yep! Still holds up
Trevor, that beard is legit, bruh.
Can you make a Udemy course
maybe one day! lol - whenever I find the time
Any update for the new test SAA-C03?
I sat SAA-C03, and it was pretty similar.
I would recommend the exact same resources. They have been upated for SAA-C03

HAHAHA - I am not mad about it
I've been mistaken for much worse

That's a bit unrealistic. There are 600+ slides for this course with Udemy. If you do 10 slides/h, 8h/day you still can't cover 600/week.
@@mamneo2 yeah but you have to assimilate all that data NOT JUST READ IT, you also have to practice, labs and so on. On a side note, I know math too. Cheers. I passed the exam but I didn't study for two weeks.

I always wonder… why would a solutions architect now want to start a UA-cam channel . When you not busy… take a moment and think about that. 🧐
All AWS Associate certifications are useless. And will never get you a job.
I've been hearing and see the opposite of this - what have you been seeing?
It is true that a cert alone is often not enough to land a job. It sometimes works, but there's no job guarantees just because you've gotten certified. Other work to be done there.
