These 18 talks is so pure with great intentions that it can never be repeated in history. I challenge you to find anything as practical. Yet so mind opening at the same time. You can't now a days because everyone is either engrossed in occult knowledge, hog wash spiritualism, eat rhis eat that, breathe like this, read this lol.... and so on. It's easy to miss gems like these and get caught up in the vortex of knowledge.

This is the topic addressed by Krishnamurti that is most interesting to me. Communication is thinking together, listening with utmost serious attention. As it's commonly done in our present society, "communication" is more a competition. It exacerbates, rather than solves conflict. This is the root of the problem of violence.

    1. Communication is not accepting or rejecting but thinking, sharing, and creating together.
We get real insights by listening.
    2. Communication implies being concurrent at the same level, pace, intensity.
    3. It requires seriousness from both parties. Seriousness implies the intent, urge, and feeling of responsibility.
    4. Responsibility is the ability to respond adequately to any challenge.
    5. The key to observation of the problem is not to look at it with prejudices, inclinations, tendencies, pleasures, fears, but to respond to the problem. Our translation of the problem may be fragmented.
    6. Plans must be current and must address the problem at hand. Not theoretical plans of the past. How is adequate response possible if one is rooted in the past?
    7. Sometimes we approach a problem with a conclusion in mind. Predetermined plans can clutter our perception.
Look at a problem like an act or a magic trick that will reveal itself.
    8. The idea of success in society implies that one imitates, conforms, seeks authority, power, money, acts ruthlessly, without love, lacks consideration, and separates oneself from the other. This is what leads to violence in relationships.
    9. Drop the idea of success and what’s left is whole again.
    10. If we delegate responsibility, we become irresponsible.

Imagine if all students could watch and discuss these talks over the course of many years. It would be the most important education ever experienced. The reason the world doesn't really seem to function is that people can not think or listen properly. They are always operating from a position without being truly open. They have made a conclusion and compare everything to it. They have made up their mind according to their beliefs without considering if they really know anything.

The trouble with responsibility is at least fourfold: each of us invariably believes we are utterly powerless or impossibly insignificant to make any effective change in or to the world (and, so, we see no incentive in even trying); no one we revere, admire, or otherwise are inspired by is doing anything to change the world (so there is no one to lead by example); those of us who do want to change the world are doing so in our own image (that invariably clashes with others and their images); and, perhaps most importantly, few-if-any of us have any clue whatsoever as to how to go about making necessary changes because, as JK explains, we have been conditioned to believe that it is our leaders and institutions responsibility to change the world (and we will either follow because we agree or resist because we disagree).

To be in communion takes from Krishnamurti the position of authority which seems necessary for actually understanding of what is being communicated which seems to be to put the self in order so that relationships may be formed without the fragmentation that occurs when one exists in conflict within oneself

52:46 I make myself irresponsible. By delegating a responsibility to you, I become irresponsible. Whereas now we are saying, nobody is responsible except you, because you are the world, and the world is you. You have created this mess. You alone can bring about clarity, and therefore you are utterly, completely responsible, nobody else. That means you have to be a light to yourself, not the light of a professor, analyst, or psychologist, or the light of Jesus or the Buddha. You have to be a light to yourself in a world that is becoming utterly dark. That means you have to be responsible.

These talks are wonderful! Thank you for making them available!
I hear Krishnamurti's explanations to be so simple and so clear in these conversations yet Dr. Anderson keeps verbally complicating it by paraphrasing. I have been finding it frustrating because it is already difficult enough to look, to be honest and to observe the mind trying to do triple saltos in the air and here comes Dr. Anderson joining me in that performance 🤣 Why can't questioners keep it as simple as J.K? lol

Very interessting viewpoint, that the observer is separated from the observed, when he comes in whith his beliefs and predetermined conclusions. But all his beliefs and predetermined conclusions comes from his past. So the only way to handle this correct, is that the observer must put away his past and must observe, whith all his attention in the present time. That means that observing from the present time, is the only way to correctly confront the problem. And only then one will see the correct solution to this problem, because his past does not interfere with his perception of the problem. That is the only way to see the truth in this. And only when one confront the problem directly, it can resolve and disolve.

    That's what they mean, sir.

    • @3x4architecture77

I used to think that too. My first encounters with these dialogues I thought Anderson was completely aloof- but he gets it and so does K. The format and context of the dialogue necessitates emergences that are unnecessary if not impossible in a public talk with only K on a stage. Anderson is no dullard. He is no ideologue. He is simply operating in the field of knowledge.
Until that distinction is made, Anderson looks like a tragic example instead of one who is abiding.

This is becoming too hard slowly im utterly confused.
I feel like only psychedelics give me understanding of whats going on and the rest like listening without my mind judging/giving any conclusions and meditation is meaningless compared to the psychs..
Im only 19 so maybe i have time to figure this out but damn its hard...
Ive spent literally hundreds of hours meditating and its not the same as psychedelics like dmt/shrooms and i mean that. The psychs is like instant change that J krishnamurti is talking about in these series.
Should i give up just a little? im really into it for like 2 years and i see change but i feel like i torture myself and i feel empty.
My diet is on point rn and i cut almost everything off and i still struggle and its not that im running away from it but its just looking meaningless and my mind is still here and always wants the next and the next thing and if i say no i feel like i punish myself probably cuz im identified with it.
Am i taking it too seriously or should i just be "entertained" and enjoy life as a young male?
I feel like i torture myself for the higher purpose and that just also doesnt seem right and obviously from what i had heard.
Does it really matter? Day by day i feel more like im too weak to do this im really confused theres just so much info out there..
I think im gon keep going like i always do but damn i feel like nothing is right rn even tho i had all these crazy experiences but they are just the past..
So the journey is the point not the destination right? I wont get enlightened if i chase it. Im really confused i dont know what to do anymore. Is all this maya and im being punished for something that ive done? Am i the one responsible for everything even tho i dont feel like im a bad person? I dont know nothing. The more i know i know i dont know shit. Im in awe and im in despair at the same time. Life is beautiful and cruel, even when i say ok i dont run away from suffering im content with it im ok with everything as it is i still feel empty after days of doing it. Im just playing tricks on myself and i dont know how to escape and i think there is no way to escape. As i write this i see that these words are meaningless and everything just is. Why is my mind such a bitch? How do i get rid of it?

A year later I hope you haven’t given up. This is a lifetime journey. As I commented on someone else’s post, I have been at this for 44 years. It’s not easy to just see what is. I can’t figure out why I am in distress. And in not turning from it eventually I see it’s my thoughts, ideas and comments that are putting me in distress. I create my misery. Psychologically. Physical difficulties are different. I’m old so I have to be alert to what might be jacking up my feelings. Things like inflammation every day can be a big drag. But it comes with age. You do what you can. Psychologically it is more tricky. Some days I feel like if it works out, okay. If not, that’s okay too. It’s the desire to be other than what is that leads me astray. 💕

They helped me tremendously. The other day I looked in the mirror and I said to myself- "What you need to do is to keep doing EXACTLY what you are doing". I have never said that to myself before. These videos are perfect for someone who does not believe in the supernatural and has a tremendous reliance on their inner monologue... So, if you want to say "These videos can not help most people" perhaps that could be correct. But I am sorry to tell you your current thesis is wrong. Because these videos are helping me, a lot.

They are concerned with the listener and his/her relation to himself/herself. He often cited the Sermon On The Mount where it says at the beginning Jesus spoke to his disciples. He didn't say he spoke to the "people", the masses.
