I love that the kids wanted to buy stuff for each other; that is when you know you have really raised them well. The Toys are Us are in the malls located in a section of a department store but it is nothing like what it used to be. Amazon has put many stores out of business. 😢
This is so random but what completely baffles me is the fact the kids came home from school, were able to do a bunch of chores, spend what seemed like a fair while at the toy store, have dinner and then it was still light outside after that which is crazy! So much day light time. This was a fun video to watch!
Oh my gosh, one of my favorite memories in life was my great uncle taking me to Toys R' Us on my birthday and letting me buy whatever I wanted. My family did not have a lot of money so all the toys we got were thrifted, so to get the opportunity to go into the shop and buy something that I wanted that was brand new still in a box with all its pieces or not halfways falling apart was amazing. It still makes me tear up for how much it meant to me. I remember telling my uncle that I didn't want to spend a lot because I knew everything was expensive because I was used to those words all the time for everything, and he just said, buy WHATEVER you want. It was so great!

This was a sweet video. It was lovely to see all the "littles". It would be good to see the older kids go to the store and choose something. There are some fun activity sets available such as rock painting, diamond painting, calligraphy, macramé and more. Being creative and having something you've made and are proud of is such an important way to spend your time. Growing up, 4 boys and 1 one girl (me), we always had things to do. Christmas wasn't complete unless at least 1 gift each was something we could spend the day working on. There were just my parents and us 5 as we had no family in Australia. We were always encouraged to 'do' things. Puzzles, games, and reading were also high on the list.

Hearing you talking about Toy R Us made me wonder about locations near me. Almost all locations close to me are listed as at Macy's. There is a Toys R US web page. I remember back when they even had Babies R Us. There aren't any real toy stories anymore sadly. You can go to a store like Target but not as many options. I remember clippity-clop horse. You can get one from Radio Flyer or Kohl's and the springs are covered.
Nice to see you spend time with the younger kids coz the older ones always dominate the videos which is also ok. Doesn't matter your videos are always kind.

I love that your kids are so GENEROUS and KIND toward each other (oh man, here come the waterworks!) They were thinking of each other in the toy store, and got each other things UNPROMPTED! You parents are raising some amazing kids!! Also, and I don't mean any offence or anything... but it occurred to me that it is good for Brinley, Kason and Trey to have Bishop , a POC in their lives (I worked in ECE and we learned that it's good for kids to have role models that look like them) and Bishop seems like a great guy to have around :)
