The first time I was at Skerries you were literally 10 inches from those bikes going around a fast bend at 170 it's just brain busting that they pull this off.... Love it lads..

Road racing is the best in the world when you look at ireland and the isle of man. Nothing compares to it for me and you need to visit and watch it at least once in your lifetime👍
Zero room for error! you hit a pole at that speed, it wont matter if theres a hay bale in front of it. Man those Irish are tough!
The hay bale will let you die in a slightly more comfortable way.

Same here man. I rode the Isle of man back in 2013 on a rented CBR and it puts the race into an entirely different perspective. I gained an entirely 100 more levels of respect for those guys.

I live quite close to skerries and over the years I've seen some epic racing here over the years... Sam's tunnel is my favourite spot... riders are within inches from you... 2 sometimes 3 abreast... nice one for the clip 😁😁😁

@@pgroadglide1581 I think you are talking about the man made chicain .. they do this on some of the road racing tracks to slow riders down normally when heading to a very sharp bend where they are know to crash... they are controversial as some riders crash out on them instead of the bend...

I was at the Skerries TT in 2000 , there is nothing like it here in the US. The only other like it is of course the Isle of Man TT. You can stand right by the road and have bikes wiz by at 150 mph. They only put hay bales in front of telephone poles and big signs -- that's it. One of the most exciting things I have ever watched. I have ridden my bike over these very roads and they were VERY rough.

That no.16 was hella aggressive, once he got past his complete frame disappeared. That rider knows their bike and road relationship were married with children. Good race pushing 150mph on those curves, and those barricades scared the piss outta me lol

I love the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 TT and to me the senior race is the World Cup of road racing .But to me the best road race is the Ulster GP

I’m lucky to live in probably the only country in the world that does this ! Anyone who is a real fan of raw motorbike racing needs to come to Ireland for a month or two during the summer and visit as many of the road races as you can. It’s an incredible experience. Nothing else comes close to what these guys do. One mistake and it’s potentially game over in an instant.
