I 100% agree. I feel music often encapsulates the era that it was created, for example, the most popular 1990’s - 2000’s hits were POP and RAP. Both of which had their own style and own creativity. I feel newer artists are just trying to piggy back onto that era with their own spin. There’s no more originality or soul to their songs. The new songs are also full of depressive lyrics which affect people’s consciousness. This day and age lacks creativity because we’ve cured “boredom”
