The fruit of your labor is evident as the barn is filling up with hay for the winter. I admire your hard work and all that you have accomplished in the past year. KUDOS
I think Tyler has proven that he isn't afraid of work. Sure, he tries to think ahead and work smarter, not harder. No one can anticipate every problem or get to every job when there are so many. He has demonstrated his willingness to get the priority jobs taken care of despite it being uncomfortable, hard or taking long hours. How he stays cheerful and happy to be living the life he chose is what makes the channel so engaging. Usually finds pretty ingenious solutions too!
I still think that with a minimal amount of fabrication, Tyler could build a removable over the cab rack, that would let him carry at least 3 bales on the truck. I've seen straw and feed dealers do this for square bales, so it should work with rounds too.
Occam's Razor! The simplest solution is often the best solution. Now that you know where the posts go, drill some holes in the posts, the trailer boards, and the pallet. Insert dowels in the holes to hold everything in place. When the job is done, remove the pieces and save for next year. Kudos to the folks who suggested and kudos to you for implementing it. And 240 bales divided by 15 bales per load amounts to 16 trips.
Farmer Tyler....You did an amazing job bringing in those bales. They look beautiful ! You have a great analytical mind ....always figuring out how to do things better !!!! And, you always succeed plus doing this all by yourself. My Dad and late husband were the same way. I truly enjoyed this video. God Bless you and your beautiful Family & all your well-cared for animals....😊😊
As a guy who spent my youth on uncles' or other farms doing a version of the job your are on, I aplaud your focus on "whats the most important thing I have to do next" while always looking for that missing efficiency to incorporate into the job. You rock, Brother Tyler; keep up the good and nobile work!!
Tyler, you have the BEST LOOKING HAY of any of the UA-camrs we watch. It not only looks amazing, but it's rolled up so tight and stacked so nice!! Good Job. 👍👍
I'm still impressed Tyler with your grandpa's old Ford's lift compacity. Plus it has good reach and visibility perfect for stacking that hay. It is definitely pulling it's weight around the farm still, so I know he would be proud of you and it. Stay safe and God bless.
Stack the bottom row of bale's on end then stack on side get more bale's per row saves space in barn . I stack on wagon same way . Works for me. But no two farms are alike.
Great job. Now 15 bales per trip. Only 18 more trips instead of 25 more. Great how you explain what your doing and why. Thanks Tyler. Have a great rest of your day.
Farming is a lot of hard work. grateful I learned at a young age to love work, served me well. Also appreciate your ingenuity !! Good on ya Farmer Tyler.
Tyler as handy a fabricator as you are, have machine shop in your area brake a set of "jeep" fenders for your trailer out of 11 ga sheet metal and replace the fenders on your trailer. You can then stack on the fenders without fear of ruining them. The front tire on your trailer is dangerously close to the tire. I can send you a drawing of how I do them when I build trailers if your interested.
I’m seeing the positives. Those bales fit beautifully into the main section and the lean to. If my math is right, you may need to pop a few bales in the truck bed. The hay looks amazing.
The barn looks great. I remember that you had like 2 feet of loose hay on the ground and lots of rats in the barn when you did a clean out of the barn. It was one of the first videos of yours that I watched. Thanks for these videos! From a warm western Massachusetts. :-)
Hi Tyler you are a trade of everything you do I mean that in a good way just do things your own way it always works out for you don’t change anything do what you want I love your channel I get excited for all your videos I’m been watching since you started I really enjoy it keep doing what you’re doing god bless
It’s amazing you do all this work alone , great job on the trailer hack . The first step moving forward is tuff ! Great video and thank you for taking the time to share.
Nice job. For me that a relaxing job hauling bales. I would bring in a total of 59 bales in 2 trips. My 20' goose neck 18 bales and 3 bales on the truck. Then 38 on the next load.
Hauling round hay on a short bumper hitch is monotonous to say the least, may need to keep your eye out for a 24ft gooseneck flatbed to get what you need hauled in a more manageable time frame. There may be a ROI on fuel saved if you could haul 20+ bales at a time, may save you a few trips to the field and back. Love the content, keep em coming!
I know alot of your work requires simple brute strength but I hope you take advantage of all aids available. It is going to catch up to you...work smart, not hard!
U need get a gooseneck flatbed trailers, or a hay trailer u can haul 8 bales of hay or u can get a bigger one u can haul 16 on the trailer u can lever on the side of the trailer that’s how u dump the hay for u that’s easy for u u can go get more hay u don’t have to stack up the hay right then u can do all that stuff after u get done i have 2 hay trailer one is 8 haul and the other one is a 16 hay haul
Great video, I would like to make one little comment about the little 8n that could!I would have never thought that you could stack fairly heavy round bales of hay 4 rows high with that little rascal! How much weight you gotta have on the back wheels to keep them on the ground?Hope all is well in the cattle business!Love the videos!🐕🐄🐓🐖
Once again you have shown that every room has a door - you just have to find it! And you did. Well done once again. Have you done the maths on the cost of hiring a truck versus 30 loads with your truck?
Ok you just showed the world 2 things. 1) don’t mess with a farmer, ;why? How much does that hay sticker weigh? You are not picking up cheap aluminum foil!!!!! , those chains that you tied the tractor down with , they are flipping heavy! And 2)this is why a lot of farmers don’t get into trouble. They are tired from working in the sun all day and just need to recharge in a shower and a cold drink.keep up the great work. I know the wife and kids are glad when your day is done😊
Crazy to me the precautions you have to take because of dry it is out there and the lack of rain. I'll swap weather with you, it's been raining here in the Northeast for 50 of the last 60 days 😭 farms are having to trash their first cut left on the fields because its just to dang wet.
@robertsimmons3556 Good to see the hay is on its way to the barn. Glad the weather has cooled a bit. Good job, good post! Glad you took the time to avoid the risk for fire!!
Makes me smile every time I see you put grampa’s tractor to work 😁🚜
Me too 😊
Good job FT. Yeah for your subscribers that gave you the suggestion that works. Thanks guys.
Good afternoon to everyone in the Farmer Tyler Ranch appreciation club. ❤ Best wishes from England UK 🇬🇧.
Good afternoon from NE rural Ohio USA 🇺🇸
Hello!

Progress is made one step at a time , only moving FORWARD. Good job Tyler. 👍🙏💪
30 trips to bring in the bails? Unbelievable amount of work.

Never let perfection get in the way of 'good enough'.
Always a pleasure Tyler … somewhat north of you, we’re under fire restrictions (1000-2000hrs so far).
I love it, you are getting 25% more efficient! as long as nothing pops and no one gets hurt keep it going!
Anyone watching you (who isn’t a farmer) should really get a better appreciation for what it takes to raise food for the rest of us.

Sometimes you do what you have to do. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn’t. At least you’ll know by trying! Well done Farmer Tyler!

Agree 🇨🇦😊
That's a lot of hard work That's a lot of bales of hay At the end of the day you got sit down and have a cold one Thank you for the video
That's sure a better and cheaper solution than rebuilding the trailer. 👍
I bet it feels good to get those bales home. Great video, FTR!
Nice work for the day Tyler there is nothing like waking up in the morning and doing what you love to do thank you for sharing blessings
So glad you are back

Kudos to the guy who gave you the idea of a pallet and posts...huge savings
Awesome job Farmer Tyler
Thanks for sharing farmer tyler ranch I enjoyed the video
After 2 years of commenting you finally used a pallet. Thanks tyler
Your own hay, stacked up in your hay barn/hay shed… to my thinking… there’s a most beautiful sight!!
Stack the bottom row of bale's on end then stack on side get more bale's per row saves space in barn .
I stack on wagon same way .
Works for me.
But no two farms are alike.

I’m just gonna say, “good job Tyler.” It’s those kinks that either get us or make us better.
Nothing feels better than had in the barn!!😊
Concerning that pallet on your trailer: simple, effective solution. Well done!
Awesome job Tyler
I’m seeing the positives. Those bales fit beautifully into the main section and the lean to. If my math is right, you may need to pop a few bales in the truck bed. The hay looks amazing.
Thats a load on the trailer, we used a heavy duty Hudson beaver tail, but never 30 loads! Great filming 👏👍🏼🇺🇸
Great job. I’m exhausted just watching all your hard work 🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
Busy but great progress! You always figure it out FT!❤❤🙏🏼
That's a big job, you did great. Looks Nice 👍
Another job well done FTR😂
Great job with the pallet, cost benefit ratio is very favorable.
A barn looks so much better loaded with hay!
The barn looks great. I remember that you had like 2 feet of loose hay on the ground and lots of rats in the barn when you did a clean out of the barn. It was one of the first videos of yours that I watched. Thanks for these videos! From a warm western Massachusetts. :-)
Its a start , great day, I hope you sat down and had a Cold one
You done good today, Tyler moved the hay effectively considering he's a one man operation.

GREAT JOB TYLER
The pallet thing is really smart, I learned something new, thanks
Good looking hay I think the pallet is a good ideal I used them on my trailer to hall hay it’s worked well have a good day F T .😅
Great job

"Taking the first step to get the bail rolling" 😂
You done good, FT.
Barn is looking good already.
Impressive load on that little trailer
Thanks. I've been looking at calling hay with a car hauler. This helps
thx for sharing ! Greetings from Belgium

That tractor is amazing just like it’s owners

Nice load sir! That’s a topper for sure
My late husband had a wooden coin with the word…”roundtoit”…..for not getting around to it‼️
Good job Tyler …looks like a big job but good you break it down.

Just love you guitar playing 😊
You are testing the limits of 8n stacking hay.
Improvising saves a lot of planning - lol.
tyler i have been using the load binders for over 40 yrs and still find them the best ones i am an ex truck driver from australia
You sure know how to work your equipment. Way to get extra bales on the trailer.
Good job Tyler
Once again you have shown that every room has a door - you just have to find it! And you did. Well done once again. Have you done the maths on the cost of hiring a truck versus 30 loads with your truck?
I’m curious about this as well. Especially considering gas prices?😂

Howdy from west Texas!! 🤠
All that beautiful hay👍
Invest in 2- 24ft wagons and you’ll have min 34 bales in one trip or double top row for max 44 bales
That old Ford just keeps grinding away for ya. Amazing how well that old equipment holds up.
Enjoyed watching the video Tyler 😊
Great video…again.
You should make your feed wagons feeder ring detachable to use it as a double trailer!
The cattle pushing on the temporary connection would having FTR doing constant repairs.
@@ardurbin2yeah I figured that after the fact. that’s why I added a additional comment about just putting a couple on the tailer without modification.
How many tons on the first load? Looks heavy..☺️👍.. For what it’s worth dept.. The hay looks great..
Have you tried stacking bales on end in a barn put the top ones flat.
Crazy to me the precautions you have to take because of dry it is out there and the lack of rain. I'll swap weather with you, it's been raining here in the Northeast for 50 of the last 60 days 😭 farms are having to trash their first cut left on the fields because its just to dang wet.
Have you thought of using the ramps as extended bed
@robertsimmons3556
Good to see the hay is on its way to the barn. Glad the weather has cooled a bit. Good job, good post! Glad you took the time to avoid the risk for fire!!
Or load some in the feeder ring
How much do your bales weigh each?
500 pounds each he says it after the 12:25 min into the video
a couple bales on the truck bed wouuld add .up
On what days of the week do you post videos, it seems to be all over the place lately and I do enjoy your videos
Wonderful ..
