Noone is better at hypocricy than the British. Throwing around the same old slogans about democracy, free market and the rule of law, which they practice selectively as they see fit. The broader importance ... is that African countries can afford to kick out their former and neo-colonialists, if they're backed up by Russia and China - meaning that some kind of precious and scarce metals and minerals won't be available to the West at their terms, if available at all. Turkey is also trying to get a piece of the action. It will get even more interesting if another player such as India or Iran also decides to invest and establish its presence in Africa.
