I don't get it about Dismember on Oracle. Why should they play Oracle when the library is not empty? And if they plan to empty it after Oracle's trigger goes on the stack, how does it matter that you kill the Oracle?
@@SuperUskebasi if Doomsday goes for Oracle with an empty library, you can force them to draw a card (and lose the game) at instant speed with Kozilek’s Command. So Dismember becomes the other side of that squeeze
@@MaxtortionMTG I get the point about Kozilek and empty library, so they'll go with a pile that plays Oracle with, say, two cards in the library. What does Dismember on Oracle do in that situation?
@@SuperUskebasi oracle’s trigger checks devotion on the trigger’s resolution, so if you dismember Oracle with the trigger on the stack and 2 cards in library, their devotion on the trigger’s resolution is 0, and they don’t win the game.
One of the challenging things about psychic frog is that its potential power/toughness, the value of a drawn card upon connection, etc, varies wildly depending on the specific game state, so you have to assess each turn, or even adjust within a turn, to figure out how your opponent is likely to use their frog. Since I do end up beating two of these top-notch rescaminator players, and was one "unfortunate" draw step away from beating all three, maybe this video can teach you something :) If you really are the expert here, then maybe I'll get to play against you in the next showcase championship?
Psychic Frog feels like it's going to be a problem....
