Adam Grant mischaracterized a study to help suppress a TED talk Coleman Hughes gave touting the virtues of color blindness in a pluralistic society, in contrast to woke ideology’s simplistic, segregationist obsession with racial categories. According to Hughes, the meta-analysis Grant cited largely supported Hughes’ claim that color blindness in terms of hiring, policy, etc. is largely beneficial (ie. as colorblindness and meritocracy increase stereotyping and discrimination go down). It’s ironic to say the least that the author of “Think Again,” described as “the new science of intellectual humility” (book description) should have misrepresented a study so that his and other minds would not be opened to alternative, evidence-supported views that challenge the illiberal status quo.

This whole field of study is extremely interesting. I value your comment. Seems like social psychology etc. research cannot be as rigorous as "pure" scientific research.

I missed so many auditions because I felt like my prepared piece weren't perfect 🥲. I am also a recovering perfectionist.
