What are your thoughts on the PRS DGT after hearing it from the man himself?
I was actively looking for the right one before I saw this video. I am happy to say that this video only added to my GAS.
Nicely done, Neil. That was a great blend of pertinent questions, and giving David plenty of space to answer each one, while avoiding the same tired questions that get asked in most other interviews. Thanks.
I very much like David’s tone and playing.
I am still looking for an SE DGT and have not found one in my area. I don’t want to buy one online. I will see one in the wild eventually and play it and will probably just take it to the register in about two minutes. Probably the amount of time I will need to know it’s my forever guitar. Paul and David’s collaboration on this may be the best of any PRS artist. I have an SE Silver Sky and it is superb. David is such a great guitar player and artist. His tone is instantly recognizable and incredible. Would love to see him and hear him live. Thanks for this interview and the clinic, great stuff!
I understand not wanting to buy one online but I have to tell you I literally just bought one from Sweetwater this past weekend. I am more than thrilled with it. I just left a review this morning that should be posted soon to their site after approval. It is a wonderful feeling, looking, and sounding guitar. PRS does a great job with quality control anyway but if you worry about issues I will sometimes just pay extra for a setup so I know it's had that extra attention before it ships.
I was lucky to find an SE DGT around 9 months ago. It’s one of my favorite guitars. My Les Paul hasn’t been getting played much since I got the DGT. I wouldn’t hesitate buying an SE DGT online.
I agree that the most important pedal is the tuner.

Got the Gold Dgt w/birds,made an ebay purchase years ago ,store was closing,got it for 1700 place was asking more,awesome guitar

What amp is he playing through?
I really tried to understand the interview questions.... Just couldn't. David is quite articulate and accommodating on top of being extremely talented.
25 inch scale attempts 1/36 of an echo distance. The sound does not equate to a strat, or Les Paul, but it is not supposed to. I have been playing a 25 since 1994, but not a prs. It sounds the same. I don't know how many hit tunes have been played on that scale, but if you want to emulated, a 25 will get us closer.
