    im pretty sure that in ancient india, if we're talking about the vedic period or even the post vedic period, the clothing was unstitched bcz it was a belief and the norm for that period
    also the garments were worn more like jewelery rather than to cover the body
    the clothes youve shown at the beginning were probably from the mughal influence
    i might be wrong about the time periods tho

    Mughal women didn't wear sarees, fyi. They wore farshi ghararas and huge dupattas. 😏
