What a great video!!!! I always get a little sad when your videos are over….. because they are THAT GOOD! Thanks for taking us along with you. Beautiful scenery!
This is the style of content that we love. You still make it a vlog but actually do a great job of showcasing the location. So many vloggers go somewhere and all you see is their faces. Thank you for outstanding content we will definitely he heading there to do this too.
Great episode guys. I live in Adaminaby...near the north end of Kosciuszko National Park. Myself and a Team of people walked to the top of Kosci in December 2020 to achieve a personal goal for me. I have Cerebral Palsy and I was 53 years of age at the time. Not only did I succeed in the walk but we raised $13000.00 for Cerebral Palsy Alliance thanks to some wonderful sponsorship from personal people and businesses who supported us. The walk should not be underestimated, its not just the distance, but walking at such high altitudes literally takes your breath away in more ways than one! Pleased you enjoyed the walk.
Thanks so much for joining us for the journey! We are so proud of how this one came together, so happy we could share how stunning the area was! We really appreciate your comment 🙏🏼🩵
A fantastic video highlighting the beauty of the place! As a local who has Mt Kosci on their door step I can say it never gets old! The animation was fun addition on the intro.
Hi Jack and Megan it sounds like you have a split intake hose hence why the engine light comes on when it’s under load the factory hoses are prone to splitting overtime.
Wow 🤯 you guys are clocking up the K’s! NSW is beautiful but yeah, hilly in that area. Mert fits in Anywhere 😊 Yep 👍 layer up! How scary to just … Stop! Snow is sooo fun. Congratulations 🎉 👏 😊 Another epic video 😎🤗👍🫶🏻👌🏼🦆
Awww Mannus Campground ❤ An equally memorable spot for us too and I knew it instantly from that second shot! It was the first free camp we stayed at and found on WikiCamps when trialling our set up, a few months before beginning our lap of Aus! We were in awe of the landscape, experienced the most epic sunset, and woke up completely surrounded by the thickest fog. It really made us think “Yup - can’t wait for this to be our life”. So cool to see you guys have a special connection to the same camp 💕
Great video Jack and Megan. Thanks for sharing. We love the Snowy Mountains! Have done plenty snowy trips and still can't get enough. We think Aussie's don't realise how beautiful, or big, the snow country is in Oz. We are planning another trip there soon-ish, and can't wait. Thanks again for sharing! 🙂🙂
Are you towing in 4th gear or 5th gear? 5th is overdrive and you would be straining the gearbox and stressing the engine. I tow a 3.2 tonne caravan, and find that I lose nothing in fuel economy, and have power when needed towing in 4th (which is recommended by the experts). I'm now 77, and have been doing this for over 20 years, and I sometimes wish that I was that young to start again, and with the knowledge I have gained over that period of time. This video has to be up there as one of the best you have produced. You two are truly an inspiration.
Have a look at the size of the actual 5th gear inside the H151 and H152 gearbox and you wont be sweating over towing in 5th. The R151 gearbox found in their old troopy has a small 5th gear cog which you wouldn't want to tow much weight in. 4th - 5th towing depends on how much of an overdrive 5th is, the engines load vs rpm vs egts vs actual coolant temp (scangauge), and towing weight considering vehicle weight also. I find when towing with the current vehicle and van 4th uses more fuel at 100 than 5th but doesn't take much for a load increase (road incline) to have the coolant temp leave 83 and start to climb slowly where 4th is obviously need. I'm constantly motoring my scangauge 3 between the coolant temp, egt and fuel inst and 4th n 5th gear. 5th more over 100kph 4th more around 90kph give of take in between
I absolutely loved this video. Your skills and techniques made it so enjoyable to watch. A mix of vlog, scenery, wildlife, and, of course, Myrtle. What a beautiful place that is now on my bucket list. ❤
Amazing video guys! And you are so right “just go and do it”. We just got back from a trip to Uluru and it was incredible. Our country is so beautiful and more people need to go and experience everything it has to offer.
Such a great video, so emotional when you reached the summit. You really do such a great job of capturing your moments and the landscape around you. Not many others do this like you do. Thank you for sharing your moments with us all. Definitely adding this location to our (long) list. Safe travels guys. ✌🏼
I just love your enthusiasm, I’m old but you two are so cute , it puts a smile on my face , just like you said😊I love that you both get so excited about so many things and yes fabulous video and photography skills. Thanks 🙏
Thank you ! Je retrouve le plaisir des premières vidéos où vous montriez de magnifiques endroits à découvrir. Je commençais à m'ennuyer de ne voir que l'intérieur de Myrtle. Bonne route ! 😊😊😊
Oh wow, talk about emotional. It's one of the best episodes you guys have produced. We must have just missed you on our travels as your vlogs are trailing our same destinations over the last 2 weeks from the Central Coast NSW where we live, to the Great Ocean Road. Love you guys ❤
My favourite part of NSW. I've gone through those roads in both a car and on a motorbike and it's just stunning scenery! You haven't lived though until you swim in the Thredbo river... very refreshing!! Loved this video.
Thank you for sharing this amazing video, visited Thredbo/Perisher many years ago but never able to hike to the top - beautiful memories you are creating
‘There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing’- I’m a Victorian but originally from QLD- have learnt to rug up, gum boots or raincoat on and get outside. Sometimes the most beautiful days are when you don’t expect them ☺️☺️ Loved this video, you guys should def do some more hikes!! I would love to see more of this 😍
I really enjoyed that thanks. I do like watching your videos. You to make me laugh you take that caravan places where us Britz wouldn’t dare dream to take a caravan good old Myrtle ❤👍
You guys had perfect weather. When we lived in Canberra we used to take our sons there for altitude training with their swim squad each year. It’s a beautiful part of Oz. Now that you coped with that cold and loved it you can visit us in Scotland! Fantastic video. Loved the time, place and altitude stamps.
Great video again guys. I suggest you get a diagnostic code reader so you can see what fault codes are being thrown up when the engine light comes on. Code readers are not that expensive will certainly be invaluable if you break down a long way from help.
Continue to love your adventures. As a Tasmanian I like the comparisons you make with certain locations. I was hoping to see Myrtle on the road on my travels back down the Hume or M1 from the Gold Coast, but sadly, I didn't see you. Looking forward to the next one
Great place to stay at Mannis Lake, dog friendly and lots of kangaroos about especially at night. The Paddy's River Falls were fab too back in 2022 when we were at Mannis and Tumbarumba. Kosciuszko we did in November 2021 and were hiking through snow, sleet and wind in full wet weather hi-vis gear for a lot of it. Amazing place. I would love to do it again in warmer conditions. Great video guys. So much like Tassie ❤
Thredbo, Jindabyne and Mt Kosciusko are where we use to live! Such hoidmemories if home t by ere and like someone else said," younger get tired I f going back to visit the place!" Loved this video you two! Thx phil
Awesome part of the world. On the car light coming on under load, I had something similar and it turned out to be the after-market fuel filter that I was using. Replaced it with a more reputable, and new, one and all good (guessing a choked up air cleaner might do the same). Anyway, started following you guys as you did up the van, really glad you are using.
What a great walk - just did it yesterday! Seem to have been just behind you over the past few days lol. Now back in Canberra for the week - time to do a few jobs on our troopy. Best wishes 👍
So great! My Husband and I climbed a hill what we thought was Mt Kosciusko on our honeymoon 40 years ago. I remember my husband's joy at conquering a mountain. I saw a similar view on a road near Falls Creek, Victoria, which etched itself in my mind, those rolling hills are on top of Australia. The Great Dividing Range

The Alpine Way is a very scary road. We did it a few years ago with our campervan. It was getting dark and raining and some parts are so narrow. It is very hard to see what is coming the other way around some of the blind corners. Well done for taking Myrtle over idt.

@itsJackandMegan Remember only that we crossed a glacier in tow to reach the top. Funny memory: took a photo by chance of my boot instead of the view! This wasnt in digital camera times!
Kosciuszko id not Australia's highest mountain, that title goes to Mount McKlintok in the Antarctic Territory, followed by Mawsons Peak on Herd Island. You have climbed the highest mountain on Australias mainland.
I was had done a walk out to the Southernmost point of Aus the day before which wrecked me but the lady at the gate told me Kossie was only 8 kms return soi thought i could probably do that ... little did i know just how far it was ... I only did it because i was lied to LOL .... Edit, it was 19kms return !!!
