Nice review man! I like the fact that you consistently do the same tests on the same route with all the bikes so that results could be comparable from one to another. The Hidoes is actually a really good looking bike. Too bad you got caught in the rain! Cheers from Greece!
I got caught in the rain on Saturday. I have the Aventon Soltera - 7 speed. I 'm from Toronto Ontario Canada. When I got up to my apartment. The sun was out. Just one of those days.
This was an absolute awesome review of this bike. I don't know if i've ever seen one more hands on and detailed plus you got Unexpected Rain to see if the bike could make it through that. Great Review
If you can get into the advance settings, I think I breezed over with P setting that was. Since it has 20x4" tires. I would try to set it at 24" tires to see if it can be more accurate.
Hey Scott, thanks for posting this video, very informative. Although I do have a question. I pressed down + and - like you did in the video, but my screen shows 05p not SPp, and wants the passcode, the true issue is whenever I put in 1313 then press I, it just sets me back to the start of the pincode and doesn't allow me to adjust any additional settings. Turning off the bike doesn't change the issue either. Just brings me right back to the exact same screen. Should I return the bike? Or just change the ECM? Or perhaps I'm overcomplicating this? In any case, a response would be appreciated.
Interesting. It is likely that Hidoes has changed something since I made this video. I would send them an email asking how to get into the settings. Sorry I can't be more help than that.
@@JuggernautCorps Yeah they made changes behind the scenes and set the bikes max speed to 19mph to match US E-Bike speed laws. Yet they left the description saying it'll go 37mph which is blatantly false advertisement.

This is by far the best review of this bike. I have my eye on this bike and 2 others that don’t have many reviews. It would be amazing if you get your hands on Movcan V30 Max and the Engwe M20 2.0. Which is in the same price point and the B6. On paper they seem to be more powerful. But your opinion on them would be much appreciated.
Thank you! They said the Engwe M20 2.0 is on its way. Since I reviewed the original M20 it would be a disservice to NOT review the updated version. It won't be until towards the end of the month.
Hey! I am looking at getting this bike, was wondering if you could actually pass the 32 mph you went at. I’m looking for a bike that goes 35 when it’s level ground. And were you pedaling when you hit 32? Did it feel like it could have gone any faster?
I was pedaling my ass off when I hit that 32mph. This bike was going as fast as it can. I don't hold off when going for top speed. If it could have gone faster, I would have found it. hahaha. With that said, you can always switch out the front chainring and freewheel to get any bike to go faster. That could be a viable and relatively cheap option.
@@scotthardesty so you had to pedal as well to get it to go that fast? That's NUTS! if that's the case. I thought this would be a bike that "pedaling" would be a choice, rather than a requirement to go fast.
Do you have any feedback on its reliability? I've read some reviews about reliability problems. I'd be really interested in buying it if I could be reassured about this.
Unfortunately, I do not. Since I review a lot of ebikes, I seldom get a chance to ride/own these long term. I have other bikes that I like better than moped style ebikes so those I tend to keep longer.
I have this bike I added a 52v 30ah BATAR for the back an put a 500w front motor working off the 48v battery that comes on bike it now moves an climbs any hill will go 42mph now
Hey man great review👍 I have been looking at this bike but there's only 3 other reviews here on youtube with lighter riders so it's good to know it will have enough power for heavy riders. I did notice the other videos that the shocks the display and tyres are different on yours it looks like there trying to put cheaper stuff on this batch because the were sold out for awhile thanks again liked and subbed
For the pedalling, your knees will come up quite high, also the suspension is a bit soft/bouncy. If you're heavy like me it does sag quite a bit. I will say that with a moped style ebike, the pedalling position will always be like this, as they're not designed to have an optimal pedalling position. If you're heavy you should get a better rear shock, with a stiffer spring.
