i disagree brennan hunt was roger in rent live and he was beyond amazing while keeping the rock energy from the original. aarons voice doesn’t have the right vocal style
I agree - I love Aaron Tveit, but he is not right for Roger- Brennin Hunt was fantastic similar to Adam Pascal with the rock n roll voice.
Yeah doesn't sound like a rock star... He's a brilliant singer, but definitely fits better in Catch me if you can.
NBC didn’t do RENT Live though. Fox did!
Wow, he's literally in tears. I can't believe how beautiful this is, and how he's clearly drawing from such a deep well of emotion. I don't know whether it's acting or if he feels a real connection to the song but either way, I believed his performance, I believed it so much.

His parts were my favourites.
I know, right? Enjolras in *Les Misérables* was a Tony Award-winning role on Broadway, but the movie totally sidelines him. Still, Aaron made the most of it.
He was one of the only good things in that movie, and he deserves all the praise for it! It's so sad that the movie was so bad as a whole and eclipsed his amazing performance as Enjolras 😭
Alex Lacamoire has a way to make super great songs into masterpieces. As does Aaron's voice

But omg, this song.. Jesus, major chills. Loved it in the movie version, and I hadn’t heard it in years.

I expect nothing less than a great performance from Aaron, and that's what this is. Needless to say: this is a vocally and emotionally demanding song and Aaaron handles it beautifully. He is clearly connected to that emotion of the song without losing control. Beautiful.
