It's so interesting how much your accent has changed in such little time. You do not roll your r's as much anymore. BTW thanks so much for your videos they are helping me out so much!!!
I normally don't have to show roof framing, but I needed a solution and found your video. Your voice and accent is perfect for this--love it! I let my wife listen, and she thought is was cool as hell too. Other tutorials I've found are boring and the presenter just rambles on, usually arrogantly. The BS comment had me really LOLing! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for this. I'm so happy . I learnt how to model a roof 3yrs ago and it was like magic. But this is so explanatory. Thank you, thank you. A great teacher you are.
I am a subscriber on Patreon and watch your videos almost every day. This one came up and - WOW! Your accent has changed a LOT in the last 4 years. LOL
While setting the Work Plane, the Boundry Lines are projected flat below the walls. Result problem is: My Beam System doesn't have a slop. What could I be doing wrong?
Hi, I actually have two questions, the very first is that the two perpendicular beams doesn't meet at one point as in your video (I mean at the two surfaces). The second one, what would you do if two opposite faces are not slope defined and the walls are attached to the wall? It would be really hard to draw beams on that walls (The one with V shape). I hope that my questions are clear! and thanks for help/ Jalal
hello, regarding to the vertical beam structure the timber blocks are not join nicely, would you please advice me how to clean up those blocks? I have try to use join geometry but failed. should i edit the family for each timber block or what should i to clean up? thanks :)
great effort sir kindly develop a video on Architecture design process elements of design components of of design principal of design and how to create an attractive elevation of a building using a proper design process thanks again sir waiting for reply . currently i am a student in Architecture School in pakistan
I wish you would answer the common problem that everyone has, instead of replying to useless comments. The beams are laid horizontally and not vertically, although I did the same as you did.
Ok. Thanks for reply I watched all your videos If you are going to create new ones keep in mind to make videos about creating families with different wall types Have a good week
That’s great and I appreciate this tutorial. But to be accurate you need to add beams to the hips and ridge. The rafters need something to nail to where they meet.
3:45 "we're going to select Beam Structure, or BS... for bull shit." Man that cracked me up :D
I lol at that also lolol 😂😂 🤣
Me too! XD
And he continues the explanation as if nothing had happened. I think he didn´t even realized!

While setting the Work Plane, the Boundry Lines are projected flat below the walls.

hello, regarding to the vertical beam structure the timber blocks are not join nicely, would you please advice me how to clean up those blocks? I have try to use join geometry but failed. should i edit the family for each timber block or what should i to clean up? thanks :)
Good job but my roof rafters move or are shortened when I mirror them
Nice basic video. What you're missing of course is a ridge and hip rafters!!
Which is the working software
Hi, what is the best way to model roof trusses for that type of roof shown in the video in revit? Thanks
my joists appeared on the lower half of the plane, not the upper. using revit 2020
@Balkan Architect you did not create the hip rafter. Sloppy modeling, but very informative video otherwise.

Ok. Thanks for reply
I watched all your videos
If you are going to create new ones keep in mind to make videos about creating families with different wall types
Have a good week
Hvala!
The members are called rafters and top plates not beams.
You should talk in mm not cm. It’s general practice in the industry where I’m from.
Damn dude, you sounded like a real russian
That accent is very good :))
3:45 😂
Activa subtítulos y traducción automática por favor. Saludos desde CHILE!!!
That’s great and I appreciate this tutorial. But to be accurate you need to add beams to the hips and ridge. The rafters need something to nail to where they meet.
muchas gracias por tu enseñanza atte
I did exactly the same thing but the beams apeared horizontally instead of vertically, also very spaced between them
