Thankyou for the lovely recipe. I followed the exact instructions, the taste came out well but my cake was not flat like the cake in the video. It was like a mountain, the centre of the cake rising high, also the top was very crusty. What went wrong, can you advise pls?
When you add too much of baking powder and soda, Centre raises up like a mountain. You can cut that part and make cake pops. So try placing the cake in the middle rack instead of top rack to make the top less crusty, or you can even cover the cake pan with foil nearing the end of baking.
Da illing never heard of this madness and dont beat with beater after adding flour to wet ingredients or else turns dense and sticky beater to be used only on wetngredients after adding flour just fold lightly comes out superb guys hema mam jai ho

Dear Prasanna, homemade fresh creams are different from commercially prepared creams. Also, pls be aware that for baking ( specially for frosting / icing ) you will need whipping cream that is higher in solid content and also has commercially added stabilizers that are not present in homemade creams. Also, whipping( mostly non dairy) cream increases in volume on whisking. Even to prepare it at home you will need to source powdered creamer that is commercially prepared. Preparing cream from home ingredients and from scratch is not quite possible. Shelf life will be very less and there is lack of stability. To make life easier, buy whipping cream. Hope this helps.
