Oh I do like your twisty handles. ❤ The only disadvantage with adding gold lustre to cups is the use in a microwave, but of course no-one does that with special pieces ❤
Thank you so much for the shout-out, Judy! OMG!...Those chickens are AWESOME!🐥🐔 Your grandpa is going to love that! Amazing teapots. Merry Christmas, Judy!
What beautiful unique pieces you have!! I love the first piece!! I’d love to know how you used the mold if you wouldn’t mind. I also love the egg tray!!
Thank you 😊, I'm about to make a mold of it, I will make a video. I made that piece a long time ago, takes a little longer to make but it's fun. If I make another one I will definitely make also a video of it..
Nice kiln opening! To answer your question about cones; the cones show us the reached temperature and heatwork. To fire your pieces to vitrivication you need to reach the top temperature your clay needs. If the clay is not fully vitrified it can leak and/or grow mold because it wil absorb moisture. So check with your clay supplier to what temperature or cone your clay needs to be fired. Hugs, Monique
@nukuaceramicsbonaire thank you 😊do you think if I use clay, which is labeled as cone 5/6 (it stands on the website I could push it to 7 if slow fired) and my cones fired about 6 1/2 I should be OK right? Just wondered if someone had any issues with correctly firing and still getting mold. I just have read something about that but can't remember where and since then I always wondered 😅
@nukuaceramicsbonaire ....also love your channel, I always watch over TV (but over my husbands youtube account and he wonders why he gets so much pottery videos 🤣)
@@sageymoodceramics If your clay says cone 5/6, it probably needs a cone 6 to be fully vitrified. You can do a test, check out the podcast For Flux Sake, they talk about vitrification al the time! I wouldn't trust anyone that says their clay is fully vitrified but still gets mold, something is not right. Maybe they don't know, or they had their cones placed wrong, or they have a clay that says cone 5-10 and fired it to cone 6 which is not hot enough for vitrification. Clay suppliers are unfortunately not always totally honest.... Test your clay and you will know.
@briancurtis6022 Thank you Brian 😊. And yes you are absolutely right, I think I got it almost figured out how much layering is needed and still achieve the result I hoped for. I should do more test tiles...I wish you happy holidays and merry Christmas 🎄🤗
So many beautiful pieces .

Thank you Audrey 🤗 merry Christmas to you too🎄💕
Great kiln unload. I’d love to see how you do the locking lids for the teapots.
Thank you, I have a long video somewhere here about how I make a teapot😊
Successful firing 😍 The teapots are lovely, the Indigo Float looks stunning inside the last pot 👏

@@sageymoodceramics 🤣😂 Poor hubby.... lol
Nice work! I wonder if layering too many different glazes can be behind some of the running problem? The chicken tic-tac-toe game is awesome.
