Very nice and different from most of the others, which is a good thing. Its hard to be unique these days. Nice Christmas presents. Like the twisted handle on the mug. Bye Xx
You're really getting good with these glazes! Good control over the amount of running/dripping, and basically no crazing or pinholes; that's impressive, especially with a glaze like Black Obsidian or Blue Midnight where any flaws would be very visible. The Blue Rutile effect is gorgeous, reminding me of Van Gogh paintings; I'm not sure about Opal Luster, but Lustrous Jade looks great. Seaweed performed well, but it's not my favorite look. Maybe some glaze formulas are just a better match to this type of clay than others? And maybe there's a limit to how many times you can rework this type of clay without warping too. The Highland cow is cute, and so are your student projects! I like the sunflower on the mug handle. It's an interesting idea to have little dishes double as test tiles. I'd love to see some more info on how you make the surface designs and patterns, maybe with another short video?
Thank you so much 🤗 I'm very happy with this Kiln opening, the blue rutile and galaxy combo reminds me too on Van Gogh 😅.as soon I get my hands on fresh clay I will definitely make a short video on the texture design. I got the idea from the ring dishes test tiles, from sarah walton pottery, idk if you ever had the chance to watch one of her kiln opening videos but she is amazing, got so much inspiration from her❤
I saw a light-fixture project at a craft show that might interest you. It uses a hollow cone as a Christmas-tree shape, with illumination holes along the sides and a little clay star at the top. There's tons of glaze options for tree needles, garland, and even snow. Could be fun!
You have so many cute mugs! I haven't had any luck with Opal Lustre either, and I don't slow cool. I have no idea how you are supposed to achieve the look of the picture on the bottle. Autumn Purple is my favourite glaze at the moment 😍 The Wake and Bake mug is fantastic!
@janesshoeboxstudio5829 thank you 🤗 I am having right know a glaze load on fast glaze program with fast cooling, let's see how opal lustre turns out, also a few pieces of rose quartz 👀 I'm a little bit afraid of pinholes 🙈 it was a 6hour glaze fire 👀
Hey Judy! Love your chicken and cow mugs! Opal Luster and the micro pearls only work for me in a straight cone 6 natural cool. I used an 8 min hold last time to help with pinholes and it worked. Love your fancy handle! Are you using a form for your tapered hand built mugs?
@AudreyLynnStudios hi Audrey 👋, I have a glaze firing right now in with opal lustre and rose quartz. I was curious how they would turn out in a fast firing (6hours) with natural cooling. And added a 10 min hold on peak temperature....I'm so worried about pinholes right now 🫣 and if I reached cone 6 since it was a fast firing 🔥 👀 Testing is so Nerf Wrecking😅🫠
@AudreyLynnStudios and for the hand build tumbler/mugs I used a template and for the design I traced it on a baking paper sheet and then, traced it again on the mug 🤗 so fun 😀 ( I think I have a short on how I make the tumbler here on UA-cam ❤️)
@@sageymoodceramics Hahaha! YES IT IS! UGH! I am looking forward to seeing your results! Hopefully, that 10 min hold helps with pinholes! Theoretically, it should!

The pinging is the pots cooling. Very nice work!🎉
@noreengordon-f5p thank you 😊, I hoped it's normal a little pinging here and there 😅

@briancurtis6022 that sounds interesting 😃
@@sageymoodceramics I tried to post a picture link, but UA-cam didn't approve.
@briancurtis6022 no worries, I'll looked up some videos here for Christmas tree luminaries, those are really cute 😊

@@sageymoodceramics Ah, ok. I am on the lookout for a great tapered mug form. Anyway, yours look great! Thanks Judy! 😘

Your clay is darker. That affects the glaze color.
