Morning bud, Great looking leads & great video. Can I ask why you are reluctant to let anyone know where you got the double 7oz mould from? Kind regards Arron
Hiya mate, it’s a lead mould that a friend has lent me. He had it cnc machines up by a guy who no longer does it. I’ve now got a 7oz and 8oz skm mould which I use. There will be another new and improves lead making video in the near future
@@fishtales9688 I'm only just starting in lead making, are there any dodgy suppliers to stay away from for the stem wires as my friends and I can all bang a lead and don't want any failures
@@claudeloi I don’t understand you I’m afraid buddy? I don’t give the spots away as people will crowd the marks. However if people recognise my spots then that’s fine as it means they have fished the marks already. I don’t understand why this comment is on a weight making video though....
@@fishtales9688Thanks. The reason I ask is because I just recently purchased and sputnik sinker mold. And was recommended to use 1.2mm ss wire for the arms. I take it the 1.5mm still has the ability to dis engage after pull from fish correct?
Hi, thanks for the video. Can you tell me what type of pan are you using as I tried today with an aluminium pan which did not melt the lead ? Cheers Bob
@@fishtales9688 im just starting to make leads and have seen it on a few videos but if it can be done without like your doing then great, easier for me

Wonderful demo on topic

Sorry do you ever make the leads with out the rollers pal
Great video. What is the diameter of the wire arms you use?
Those ones are 1.2mm but I now use 1.5mm 7inch wire

@@JRFreedom1000 it’s all preference mate, 1.2mm will work fine but I like to make sure my lead is hooked in solid on fast tidal conditions

Do you not heat the moulds aswell?
I don’t mate no, Although a few people have mentioned it to me. I find it easy enough without heating it
