Gauteng Education MEC visits school where pupil allegedly shot principal

- Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane will visit Primrose Primary School in Germiston. This follows the shooting of the school principal on Friday allegedly by a Grade six pupil. According to the department, the incident reportedly occurred when the principal instructed the pupil to take his books to study. Following the incident, the learner followed the principal to the staff room, where he shot and wounded him with a firearm believed to belong to his parent. The 51-year-old principal is still recovering in hospital. The pupil faces charges of attempted murder.

The parents also need to be held accountable for negligence and not safekeeping the firearm.Oh...! I forget this is South Africa where firearm laws are just suggestions, not necessarily to abide by.
