    The most downsides are "Find related messages" on outlook and the magic of the "alt"key that makes keyboard shortcuts so useful on every app specially excel, you could send an excel report by email in less than 10 seconds using few keys

    I am pretty sure Excel misses some formulae and features on Mac.

    Great review. Thank you. The deal breaker for me is the inability to insert or attach files to emails. It does allow me to attach an existing email to an email I am drafting, but no other files. All of which I can do with the Windows version. Am I wrong on this?

    I tried VBA in Excel on mac. i created some VBA code and ran it but it found a bug. I ran the same code on a windows 10 machine in Excel and it worked beautifully. Not sure as to why this is, all references are the same, layout, etc. Kinda sucks.

    Such a useful video. Can you please do a follow up just on the limitations of using M365 on Macbook. For example, I did not know you can't copy paste from excel to outlook, or have multiple outlook windows open to draft multiple emails.
    I love Apple products but wondering if it can be my main office driver. Mostly into MS office - nothing too heavy.

      There are a lot of features in Word and PowerPoint that are only available on PC versions. Even basic things like customize color palette in Word.

    Oh man!..I was looking at reviews for LG gram...found you (*love*)...and now am wanting you to review Macbook air 13. ONLY!..b/c I was looking at latops from costco (mainly LG gram) and spent my Saturday falling down the rabbit hole of laptop research. So here I am. Wondering if I can manage learning Excel on a macbook.
    Any thoughts on LG gram 15.6 vs Macbook 13? (I've never worked with apple).
    You're channel is fantastic!
    Thank you!

    hi, thank you for the video. I'm new to Mac, with Ms Outlook can you copy an email and put it as an attachment to new email? Say I want to attached two emails from previous to new email. I can do it just copy and paste in Windows but not in Mac. Thank you.

    I have a MacBook Air and having problems with the MS 365 word application when it comes to exporting a pages document into word and then being able to use the editor. Even though I have English selected, it wants to underline every word and check the document in Italian. When I create a document directly into word on my Mac, I have no issue it’s only when I export out of pages into word that the volcano erupts.

    Any chance you know why my Outlook emails on a Mac have long white spaces between messages and replies? I have to scroll down a lot before seeing the rest of the content. Is there a fix?

      That is very common, we focus on the technical aspect of the app. We don't use excel at all. One can be a Microsoft 365 expert. And not knowing how to use it. And that it's fine.

    How well does Outlook work on the Mac? Can I use it to access my existing iCloud email, will all the folders be there with all the emails in the right places?
    Also, can I add my iCloud email and a couple of other accounts, one via an ISP and some gmail accounts?

    I am finding that Outlook has material differences where you cannot customize the lists on Mac that I can do on Windows. For example, the contacts / people. Am I missing something? Perhaps I need to a destined Office 365 Outlook analysis.

    I have a MacBook Air and an active Microsoft 365 subscription but suddenly I was been asked to renew when there is still time before my subscription expires. Apple isn’t able to help me in this neither is Microsoft team. Now the apps are working just fine on my I phone but on MacBook it stopped. What can be the issue? It’s the same Apple ID . I am facing loads of issues since long, if anyone has experienced this please share how to solve this issue

    Seriously? Word for Mac is much more limited than that. For example, you can't move headings around in the Navigator pane. That means it's useless for organising document structure. Word for Mac is so bad that I am going to sell my new Macbook Air and go back to a Windows laptop. Also, window management in MacOS is a joke.

      I agree, your comment is exactly the experience I had with mac, now I put my macbook pro 2020 for sale, for that reason, excel is simply incomplete, it is missing add-ons.

    Hi, thanks for the vid.
    One question though... you mentioned that the fonts are different..., so what happens when I mail a document that I typed on mac over to someone with windows?

    • @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI
      @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI  3 роки тому +4

      Hiya! When we say the font is different, we are referring to the visuals themselves (the actual app itself rather than messages you send) - For messages, you can set the font to whatever your preference is.

      i'm a med student and a ms word power user. i work with 150 people for making class notes with tables, picture from slides&books ecc... some files arrive at 600 pages in ms word.
      i have only 2 issue:
      - Ram: sometimes it takes lots of ram; so i save the file, exit and reopen it.
      - when i export the docx in pdf: sometimes appears some white lines in the colour background of tables only near a cell line. but there is a fix: print -> save as pdf

    Office works well on Macs, for the most part, but I've always found it optimized for Windows, which I prefer anyway. I find it to be way too limited on Chrome OS, but it's better than nothing. Google Docs and their suit of free tools are fine, but I love the full, robust, Swiss Army Knife, everything and the kitchen sink experience of Word on Windows. I also consider Windows machines to be a better overall value than Macs. There is simply too much mythology about Macs and PCs. Both systems are fine, but I think Windows has improved greatly since Windows 10. I think Windows 11 is a breeze and very fast on the sort of high ram, SSD machines I use. It's also a punchier operating system than it's ever been before. I also find Chrome OS to be a great, straight forward system that will work fine for the needs of most users.

    Why do you have to pay for 365 , or were can I find it for free

    • @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI
      @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI  3 роки тому +2

      Hey Tony. Two answers for you here. There is a free online version of office which you can use. Just log into Office.com, and you can use the free versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, and Outlook. These will have a limited number of features for getting the basics done. Microsoft 365 is a subscription which gets you the full suite of premium Office apps for desktop, mobile, and web. They are also kept up to date, so you always have the latest version. As well as that, you get 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage which you can use to keep your PC backed up, as well as keep it synchronised with your mobile devices. You cloud storage also has ransomware protection and the ability to recover corrupted files. Finally, if you have the family version, you can share your subscription with 5 other people, each getting their own 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage.
      That's the abridged version. There are a lot of other additional premium benefits you can get, but we're hoping that answers your question :D

    Why is windows 11 better for office 365 than macOS ?

    • @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI
      @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI  2 роки тому

      Well that's a great question... Microsoft 365 is a great experience on both Windows 11 and MacOS. They are both custom to their respective OS so have a slightly different look and feel from each other. Although there are more features on Windows 11 (Inking, touch controls, etc) ultimately it comes down to personal preference, and what device you prefer to use. If it's Windows, great! And if it's Mac, that's cool too!

      Can you tell a little bit more? That'd be quite helpful. I was considering getting a MacBook for work but am a bit skeptical after hearing about MS Office being quite limited and not as rich as the Windows counterpart. As I work in finance, I will be using Excel quite a lot but also Word and PowerPoint, so this is of prime importance to me that I'm not hindered in functionality and convenience.
