Most of it is just jumping and standing stiff. I joined my high school team (I did parkour, they wanted someone who could flip) but they didn't allow me to do anything even slightly difficult. I quit because it was taking up my time I could be spent training to get better

You are absolutely right and I don't want to diminish your point, but in this specific situation it's more that they were the first ones to think "hey let's have someone be carried so they can be high enough to reach the ball". Although even after that idea is formulated, cheerleaders would still be the best pick to bring to fruition.

The girl on top weighed for sure at least 50 kg. Mainly 2 girls were holding her up, supported by the third girl who only could help a bit holding the ankles. So the relatively small girls held up about 25 kg each and made it look easy. Very impressive!
