I was actually at this performance. She sounded even better live. I think they mixed her voice down into the mix for TV. But in person, her voice was loud over everything and she sounded great.
The energy is up because it was full of lambs.

@@RadioMix23 It was pretty simple, actually. The taping was for VH1's Save the Music that year. VH1 sent out a call for NYC lambs to come to the taping, I applied by email and was randomly chosen (two tickets). It was taped at the Beacon Theater right across the street from the Fairway on the UWS. I can't remember if STM had more artists than Mariah that year, but our taping was just Mariah. She did each song more than once. And John Legend was there as well. I can't remember the month it was taped, but I think it was late Spring because I had to skip my whole life to go. We Belong Together hadn't yet become a hit, so it felt like we (the audience) were really trying to give her support after a few rough years. Great experience.
