    Love the full unloading/loading aspects! Keep up the great content man. Been driving for 2 months now, Car hauling with a 5 car trailer. Can't wait to work my way up to a 10 car. It's an absolute treat watching how you operate that truck and trailer! Being new, going into new locations is stressful at times figuring out where to park. If it's possible, can you show how you maneuver into car lots if you find any to be tricky. I really enjoy learning from your videos! Stay safe out there friend!

      I can probably do that. It would have to be dealerships that aren’t on busy roads but I can put my drone up

    Great video definitely agree with do everything in routine. It’s sad how many car haulers ask me why I walk away and physically check each pin is pinned before I check my height. Forgetting a pin is just dumb damage in my mind.
    Waiting on the phone to ring from waddle and hopefully I’ll be over there with you soon.

    -Florida 14’ legal so you’re good with the trees, I know sometimes they look lower than they are.
    -Top rear trailer I lay out the rear strap first and park on it so you don’t have to worry about it falling off, or just leave the car up enough to get to a top hole.
    -Mirror method doesn’t work if you do a lot of big stuff, especially in the belly. Plus you can see if you got distracted
    and forgot to pull out the other ramp or didn’t raise your decks enough
    -what happened that you didn’t load the 2 unit drop first?

    • @CarcarrierTv
      @CarcarrierTv  8 місяців тому +1

      I don’t know this trailer the best yet so I try to load my smallest units on the top of the trailer to leave turning room.

      @CarcarrierTv  8 місяців тому +1

      So I don’t know for sure but I’ll tell you what I’ve heard over the years. Most companies will as long as it’s not a recent thing. Then the big one that they’re gonna turn you away for is gonna be if it was auto theft related or violent like armed robbery or assault sort of stuff. But keeping your record clean since then will really help. I would apply at all the big companies that haul cars because they will be the ones that will train you.

    Keep up the good work...running a 75ft Mid-rail currently and I wish it were 85 here in the Northeast. Using mirrors are a no no when you got pick-ups haha. But I only use mirrors when I'm loading a manual transmission...which I hate but have to sometimes.

    Hey man I’ve been watching your videos all week. I am thinking seriously about getting my cdl and becoming a car hauler. Is there a company who hires new cdl holders? Thanks in advance.

    • @CarcarrierTv
      @CarcarrierTv  8 місяців тому

      Thank you for watching. Now as for new cdl holders getting into car hauling I don’t know of any. Most want at least 6 months of otr. But once you get that I would try to look into the big car hauling companies because they will be the ones that will train you to be a car hauler.

    How high do you usually run? When I worked at Carvana we only let our guys run as high as 13’6. I’m assuming it’s okay to run higher depending on the state you’re in

    • @CarcarrierTv
      @CarcarrierTv  8 місяців тому

      I try my best to always be 13’6. If Ik the route I’ll sometimes go 13’10 to give some extra space but I’m normally 13’6

    When in doubt unload in the street. Sometimes calling the dealership in advance doesn’t always work out to your favor.

    • @CarcarrierTv
      @CarcarrierTv  8 місяців тому +1

      I do agree with that except I hate street unloads. My feeling is I shouldn’t have to risk my life or limb in traffic to get you a product you need to stay in business. Dealerships need to plan their lots to have trucks on them and if they can they should get an off site location to receive their cars. And my reasoning is when was the last time Walmart needed to get a delivery but they told the truck driver to park in the center turning lane drag the pallet up to their front door.

    First thing i been watching ur content very good info. Question 1- im 53yr young i wanna get my CDL and i really wanna do car hauling is there a certain size u have to be to get in&out of cars,cause im 5-11" 275 (2) do u think its to late to start trucking im not married no kids do u think sun country 5 car anniversary trailers good for long distance thanks stay safe out there

    • @CarcarrierTv
      @CarcarrierTv  8 місяців тому

      So there’s no real age or size limit to being a car hauler. It’s a great career. Now as for the sun country I wouldn’t recommend it for a long haul trailer. And it’s nothing about the company that makes the trailer bad it’s just you want to haul the most cars you possibly can when doing long haul. So I would personally recommend the Wally mo 8 car trailer if your going there high mount route.
