Is it fair to pick on a few criminals for ripping off house builders.

Any one know where law enforcement is?? They actually have a cop in apple stores in the US now. You never guess, crooks haven’t shown up at these stores lately. People are smart enough to come up with effective deterrents. Just get it done.
Nicola is spot on about the financial effects of a delayed project. Private security won't save you unless it's a dodgy security company. It is better if you just pay the money. Less hassle, damage and interest payments.
if theyre crashing through the fence and throwing bricks at the workers i doubt security on 15 euro an hour is going to slow them down much gardai would have to be there in a few minutes every time if theyre using young wains to do it then surely they see them as disposable and will happily keep paying a few hundred euros to some wains until they pressure the companies into their 6 figure payouts

There’s enough work for everyone all over the country a builder can say no to work in these locations and if there’s no builders to work in these locations this means these locations will stay plighted and a shortage of housing continues…. Any builder who has choices to work elsewhere and say da hell with that I’m not working under that physical dangerous threats
This has been happening forever , the only difference today the builder can work elsewhere no problem but years ago there was a shortage of work .

Feel Sorry For Bob The Builder
The first spark came from a Sinn Fein activist who was working on the site & discovered the payments. He in turn informed Angeus O Snodaigh S/F TD for the area who raised it in the Dail. The rest is history.
