Today I am sharing how I get things done with simple habits that work! Lately I have felt a little overwhelmed with everything going on in life. Luckily I have some easy routines and habits that I do every day to keep me on track even when life gets a little crazy. Whether it's starting the day with a quick plan or dedicating just five minutes to a task, I’ve learned that the key to productivity is building momentum with habits that I can stick to. Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you have a wonderful week =)
Garden looks amazing!! Ok a habit I’m working on is every night empty the trash. I got that tip from my older sister and it makes a big difference in the morning.
Today night mybsink is empty but not daily ..only one night it happens in approx 3 to 4 weeks i am struggling with procastination from last 16 years Whats the reason behind this i am not aware may be mental issues or may be i am less procuctive due to .... Plz suggest me how can i overcome from my cluttered environment of my home My mess not leaves me alone in peace if any one politely understand my expectation (prison of clutter and procastination)from this comment i thank her ❤❤
For me is cleaning the kitchen after every meal, one load of laundry everyday because we always have laundry to be done, and robot vacuuming... Loved the video and the party!
Really good video. I find at 77 I expect myself to do what I was able to do when much younger. I can't break this habit. My go to clean is vacuuming. If the floor looks neat the room looks neat. 2nd I always make the bed
Yay for the perfect Sunday motivation. I did so much decluttering done this weekend! I just open the cupboard doors and fridge to remind me I've done an awesome job 😅thanks Shannon, you are amazing
My kitchen is always clean. I've had the entire house a disaster during moves but as long as the dishes are done and the counters are clear I can keep my sanity!
my one habit is making my bed. Was a nurse for years and its just part of every morning, no matter what mess or what happens in the day, to walk into the bedroom with a nicely made bed always feels good!
I don’t like clutter around me, but I sometimes have a project or two going on which causes piles to go through. I try not to let these projects go on for days. Daily: I clean up as I go when cooking, and leave kitchen (prep areas and stove) clean. Go through mail right away. Fold and put away laundry right out of dryer. Put things where they belong.
A load of laundry start to finish 6 days a week. Dishes done and kitchen clean up every day. Thirty minutes of cleaning/decluttering of another area.. Thirty minutes of reading. Life is easy when these are done.
The life you've created is so beautiful. The main daily must-do is the dishes and making sure the kitchen counters and stovetop are clean and ready for the next mess.
Things I do every single day - dishes, I don't have a dishwasher and don't want one. Make my bed and scoop out both litter boxes. Take care of inside and outside pets, feeding and fresh water. You seem to get a lot done, but you have more going on with young kids, a husband, business, etc. We're still running our AC, too hot out to open the windows yet. Right now, getting ready for our 2nd hurricane in a few weeks, I'm just north of Tampa. It's been crazy with storms this year.
I always reset my kitchen/family spare room every night! Essential to my sanity and how we function in the morning, and when we all come in at the end of the day! ❤
Shannon I really like your videos. I feel like I have learned alot from you. The 2 things I tried to do everyday is to make sure the kitchen is kept clean and clothes are washed, dried and put away. I had knee replacement a month ago and it was really hard not to be able to do things and rely on my husband. I'm finally getting back to doing more things. Dianna
With 4 kids I have different types of baskets for "clean" and "dirty " clothes. This way every knows by looking at the basket that the clothes are in whether they are dirty and require washing or whether they are clean and need putting away.
Love that gorgeous smile from Emmett and the joy from Levi and the balloon. Happy birthday to Calvin - looks like the party was fun (and with grandma's colorful decorations!).
I have 3 cats so vacuuming is something i do every day along with cleaning the the litter boxes. Wow tomatoes how nice. The Peppers look good too. God bless you and your family.🌻🤗
I like “adjust your expectation to your current reality”. I do routines most of the time but am aware that life brings other opportunities and priorities. Aka. Grandkids
Since I’ve started earnestly on this decluttering journey since July and I’m still shocked at what I willingly let go of, I have hoarder tendencies, my home is looking more like someone cares, I’m doing 1 load a washing a day instead of leaving it till the end of the week. Even doing my tea dishes every night is so much easier than leaving them, all of a sudden you have pile of dishes the next day and don’t want to face them. I’m really enjoying my decluttered and don’t want to see it refilled with clutter
things That I That I do: I like to always I don't have a dishwasher so! And I also vacuum My My tile floor everyday... Otherwise things just get done when they get done😻
Hey Shannon, I think it's really great that you've been milling your own bread. I've been making no knead homemade bread for a few months now & when I had my dough spill over at the beginning it was because the dough was a little too wet, which also results in a moister loaf. It looked great though & if it tastes good then it really doesn't matter ❤️
Hey Shannon, you're very welcome, yes that's what I did & it seemed to work. I just try & make sure the amount of flour I use is correct as I think my scales were out when that happened & also that I don't add too much water to the flour/yeast mix. Ideally you want the dough to not be too sloppy or sticky, be able to easily handle tit & not feel like it's too wet to pick up out of a bowl. I'm no expert but I make bread every couple of days & it's really easy & always comes out great! I hope this helps 👍😊
#1 habit is “just do the dishes “. Learned this from Dana. Also, I like to measure flour by grams for baked things because I find that measuring with standard cups can vary in weight and not be consistent. I tweak my recipes and make a note so that they come out the same each time. I don’t make bread but for muffins, waffles and other baked things, I find it really helpful. Thanks for the video, Shannon!💕
Hi there sweetie pie hope you are well I make sure my kitchen is clean lounge room and bathroom before I go to bed it is good start to the day love from Eugenie your friend xxx 🍁🍃🌻💕
Hi Shannon, I always love watching your videos. Thanks for sharing. Have a terrific week. :) Will you and your mom be doing a video together soon? I always love those videos too.
Thanks for this video! The party decorations are very festive and it looked like everyone had a great time! I also have enlisted habits to help me stay organized and they do work. ❤
I vacuum before anything other than dishes. I have 2 cats, and my silver hair seems to fall out a lot. Where in southern California do you live? I live near Disneyland.
Even when the children were little, we reset each evening. Lunches are prepped and we know what everyone wants for breakfast. Yes, I’m old school and fix my family a hot breakfast every morning along with packed lunch and snacks. It makes for an easier start to the day and 27 years into our marriage is just part of my morning routine before I exercise and go to work.
Thank you so much for watching! I hope you are doing well.

Garden looks amazing!!
Ok a habit I’m working on is every night empty the trash. I got that tip from my older sister and it makes a big difference in the morning.
I never go to bed with the kitchen messy or dishes in the sink. I like to wake to a clean kitchen so I can make my morning coffee and enjoy breakfast.

Me too! There’s been many a night that I’ve done dishes past my bedtime, just so I can enjoy the kitchen in the morning and start a fresh new day.
Me too, when I lived alone, I never went to bed with dishes in the sink
Bread is gorgeous!🤩🤩

I'm 53 but I have fibromyalgia and also struggling with my mind thinking I can do something but my body says no
Both great cleaning tips! Maybe that is my problem, I expect myself to accomplish what I did before I had 3 kids LOL.
I"m 67 and my energy level has plummeted since turning 65. It is so frustrating!
My one habit that I always do no matter what is picking up clutter on flat surfaces. ☺️
Yay! That is a really good one. I think it makes our home look nice and tidy all the time too.
My daily habit to make the house seem clean: clear off the flat surfaces (living room coffee table, dining table, and kitchen counter)
I like that wording "seem clean" I do this all the time too. If someone looked close, they would see the dust, but from a glance it looks great lol.
Yay for the perfect Sunday motivation. I did so much decluttering done this weekend! I just open the cupboard doors and fridge to remind me I've done an awesome job 😅thanks Shannon, you are amazing

I started a little over 3 yrs ago - vacuuming my floors every single morning. It really makes the house look clean!
😮wow! That’s great that you do that every morning- you are seriously on it! 😀💕
Great advice!
First thing in the morning I make my bed.
At the end of every day I leave my kitchen clean and ready for breakfast the next morning.
I clean the kitchen before bed every night!! Helps in the morning!,

Yes! This is so true. We can plan something and then life happens and that is ok =)
I always make the bed and keep the dishes done. The Birthday party looks like it was fun. I agree that simple things can still work.
Oh, but that loaf of bread does look beautiful!
Your back yard!! ❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
My go-to habit is keeping the clutter picked up and flat surfaces clear. Loved seeing the birthday party and your wonderful garden❣️❣️

Thank you for pointing that out! I think that is what happened. In this case, do you just add more flour?

Dishes, laundry, and planning and prepping (if necessary) for dinner early in the day. These are my non negotiables 99% of the time.
Hi Shannon! I am keeping up my night routine without fail! And keeping it simple. You and your mom are a great help ❤🎉
Thank you so much!!

Me too! I started the metric when I started baking bread last year. It's so much easier for me.
Thank you for that tip! I will have to figure out how to measure the flour that way.

Hi to your husband from Oz!
Beautiful garden!
I vacuum before anything other than dishes. I have 2 cats, and my silver hair seems to fall out a lot. Where in southern California do you live? I live near Disneyland.
Spray paint the cob webs with silver! 😊❤ nice video, Shannon!
Haha Yes we would have been ready for Halloween LOL
What good advice .
Thank you for being here! I hope you have a nice weekend =)
Mine is weekly dusting. Where does it all come from so fast. Your homemade bread was beautifully rustic. ❤
Thank you so much 😊
This was a nice video style!
Thank you! I appreciate that feedback =)
Happy Birthday
you look so good girl! healthy and happy
The most important part of bread ---is the taste! What something looks like is the least problematic!!
Yes! I am so happy this tasted good =)
Dishes. I don’t ever let dishes go, because nothing derails a day like not having clean plates and utensils!
Hi shanon...... Again I m first one to watch. 😊😊
Yay! Thank you!
We haven’t seen your mom for a while
We Swiffer our floors twice/day without fail.
Hi Shannon!
Hello! I hope you are having a nice weekend.
Like Grant's haircut.
Everything is reset every evening before bed. Makes next day more pleasant. ( I realize This is Possible because I don’t have children.)
PS the birthday party looked like a big hit!! Making wonderful memories!
Thank you we had a really fun day!

Love your house except the blue panting A more natural color or nudes pic will look nicer with your house style.
We like bright colors in our home =)
