I love Jason's confidence and decisiveness when he says "I think I'm not gonna get anything here" (12:38). In a Nintendo store and that age, that's pretty impressive! I'd be so indecisive!
I am usually not one for matching outfits BUT I can totally see how matching shirts are so much more helpful in a massive crowd. YOu can instantly see your group and count. Love how Josh said. "I miss having matching shirts!" You are definitely doing it right with matching shirts!
We went with childflight to Disney world and universal years ago. We were in groups. Red. Blue and green. We all had yellow t shirts and then the appropriate coloured caps/hats. I was so glad we did. It was easy to spot someone from the group if you wandered off and didn’t keep up. There was about 120 of us and always a yellow t shirt somewhere! Even if you lost your group, you’d find another and they’d radio through. It was the best idea ever. I couldn’t understand at first why we all didn’t wear t shirts for our coloured group. It became apparent when the bright yellow was so easy to spot! Excellent idea for big groups!

My husband commented on their shirts when they were catching the plane..to why they were all matching.
My reply...they are smart parents..it's easier to spot your kids and if they get lost they can say "I am with the family wearing this outfit" 🤣
I can't be the only one here who absolutely LOVES Nevaeh's style and just all around personality! And the way she and Dayshawn have, in my own opinion, have taken to the other kids and vice versa is just amazing!
This family honestly warms my heart and gives me a moment in my day where I can just sit back and be happy. Thank you for bringing us along for the journey!!

I feel like such a crazy and proud internet Auntie. Over here cheering these kids on for their awesome behavior, with part of my brain screaming for all the judgmental meanies to suck it! Because these kids are all self sufficient, responsible, helpful, capable, kind, and fun!!! So take that with your constant criticism and suggestions of what Alicia can do differently.

The way you talked to Bree about missing the American girl doll store was great. I still struggle with "shifting my mind" and I'm in my 20s. Yet still showing her compassion and apologizing that it happened. She is so sweet

Yes, I was so excited for Nevaeh and Dayshawn to get to experience all this. I too love how they all bond. What a blessing to be able to take children in a store and say get what you want. They are not going to want to leave this family.

You all still amaze me. Such good parenting! You are so calm yet very vocal about the chaos and fear of misplacing a child that giving you anxiety. Most people would be yelling at their kids and someone would be crying at some point. You all just handled everything so well. The spare outfit in the backpack…genius. Everyone voicing their opinion lately about you packing for everyone…this is a perfect example why. No emotional breakdowns because someone forgot something. Bravo mom and dad, oma and opa.

I love how you guys pay attention to small things such as biting nails and Harlee running up and down the ramp,someone wanted the birds filmed,who got what,when they noticed places movies were filmed I thought it was sweet how you gave them all some attention at some point.
Also I can relate to the American girl doll store closing. I somehow always have something like that happen to me.
I love neveah and zoeys relationship and Dayshawn and Alex!! Alex seems to be close to all the kiddos and I love how close they all are ❤️ it shows that you and Josh treat each of them equally and it is so special 💕

It’s just like a teacher on a field trip, constantly counting kids. Lol
It is anxiety based and fear driven and the adults do not have fun! The adults are mentally exhausted at the end of the day. For kids or adults with ADHD or autism the constant movement of the people and noise can be a triggering event and emotional overload and terrifying.
Lol I had flashbacks to babysitting, day care, and chaperoning class trips 😂
@@mircat28 I disagree with you. I believe by counting, it keeps the anxiety at bay. I taught third grade for 30 years and took at least 3 field trips every year. I counted all the time. I enjoyed every one of those trips and usually learned things along with the children. Yes, I was mentally and physically exhausted but there were days in the classroom where I was as well. Students and adults with ADHD or autism can benefit from the exposure to activities and learn some additional coping skills. I love that this family is allowing their children to experience different things.
I totally thought of that! When I was a camp counselor I was forever counting kids!

Have a wonderful time. This brings back so many memories. I took my daughter when she was 8 (21 now) to the American girl store. Amazing! We walked and rode all over NYC in the open air tour buses in July. Then, We also used to meet my son in NYC when he went to West Point when he could get a weekend off and just wonder around and soak up the city.

Hi Alicia & Family👋👋👋 I’m happy you’re all enjoying NY, I’ve always loved visiting, my younger brother went to college there so I visited him as often as possible plus I always enjoyed going to the Broadway shows too, it only takes approx 2hrs for me to drive there. You guys are so very generous with your kids, I was amazed at the souvenirs they chose to buy, growing up a souvenir was a tee-shirt, keychain or mug but your kids are fortunate to buy Nintendo games and Nike sneakers, so far, incredible. This trip will surely be very memorable bc being in the city is so amazing, seeing a show is a very moving experience and then being hosted by the NY Mets, what an honor, they’re gonna go all out to make your night incredible, a super box with all the amenities, who could ask for more. Enjoy, I’m looking forward to the shopping spree at the American Girl Doll store, that’s an all time favorite for me & my nieces👍👍👍 TYFS, you’re the best♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️

in this vlog I can really tell Josh is a teacher .(.. I sub at a school.. ) when talking to a group of kids in the Nintendo store... ask one let them talk go to the next ... and some how stayed really calm... these kids have great parents ❤

I’ve never been to NYC. As an adult, I wouldn’t be able to choose just one souvenir! Your kids are awesome! Y’all do such a great job of staying on top of all of them. They are very well behaved.
Not sure if you’re an iPhone user but they have AirTags, which are basically tracking devices, that you sync to your phone. They have little wristbands to put them in and you can have the kiddos wear them, I so understand the anxiety of kids running off or too far ahead of you in public. I use them for my 3 whenever we travel or at amusement parks. You two do a great job with 12 kiddos tho 🤗🧡
If not an iPhone Samsung makes them as well
