you have to be patient. I grew up with a family who has 11 kids. Their oldest now has 15, thats just the oldest. That isn't accounting for the younger kids and their offspring. While a lot of moms complain about parenting. You see the patience in those with several and frankly I think those with fewer kids could learn some patience today. You dont need a dozen kids to be a patient parent. I even see within my friends family that those parents who now have several grandkids, are incredibly patient with them too and actually know how to discipline them as well. It takes a special mom AND dad, because it takes BOTH parents to render that many kids. We have to credit the fathers because they matter equally and require the same amount of patience. There is nothing inherently wrong with telling a kid you dont like their choices, its how you deliver it. A good parent would tell their kid when something they chose isn't appropriate.

Yay! Does anyone else find themselves just waiting for Alicia to post? Every day I just love the happy positivity of the whole family. I also am aware there are some nasty haters giving them a hard time, being obsessive and cruel, but they are just bitter and jealous people. LOVE this whole family, but especially this truly inspirational icon, Alicia. What a huge heart!

me 🙋🏻♀️!! I constantly look and feel like I have no life sometimes, haha.
That upsets me so much. Look at how good these children have it. I have to seriously budget for three teens this year. Husband is having health issues. $600 to $700 isn't enough to properly send them to school. I don't know why people hate on her. Putting them on camera some times helps all of them financially. They have a warm bed, food, are always properly dressed, loved and get to do a lot of after school activities. I wish people would get passed being their Karen self and see these children are being raised right. I think they hate because they wish they could bring in the amount of money this channel brings in.
Can we talk about how the friends of the kids, that came with you are so chill and also look out for all of the younger ones? Love it!

That's what I say too! No doubt they love all their brothers and sisters. It's just a different bond biological siblings have and it's probably with the twins. As well as Alicia's biological children.

Josh’s face was hilarious! You can tell Alicia is used to big shops and nothing overwhelms her now. I think josh probably breathed a sigh of relief when he had to take some kids to scrimmage. This has made my day. Such a beautiful family.❤️

For me the best part of this vid is Dayshawn. To see him go from the timid boy so unable to voice his needs and wants that he couldn't bring himself to choose clothes on his new kid shop to see him run to the crocks and choose his trainers and outfits is awesome. He has bloomed so much in the few months he has been there.

The way that you handle all of your kiddo's is inspiring to me. I found myself getting a little anxious at times watching the video because being out in public is daunting for me. You handled it wonderfully. Everyone helps each other out. I love it!
i understand morning meal prep is therapeutic this gave me anxiety and then Alicia's calmness overtook that
VERY early in the morning is obviously the best time to go.😄. Crocs have come a long way colour-wise since I last bought my granddaughter some 10 years ago.

This episode of your care, generosity and detail to your kids' needs warms my heart! I dated a guy years ago who admitted he had been severely neglected by his parents as a youth. As a result, his feet were permanently disfigured as an adult because his parents refused to buy him new shoes as he grew! For this reason alone, I can't understand why you have any haters who enjoy insulting you! You not only care but you are so attentive to each of your children's needs it is awe inspiring! GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
Bodhi was so considerate bringing you a cup you know you like and asked if you wanted it that shows he pays attention to what you like.also glad the back to school shopping was a success for all the kids.
That was a Daugherty shopping adventure for sure! The kiddos are so good at picking out what they want and it’s really great seeing Dayshawn not being as shy about shopping as he used to be. Nevaeh picked out some really cute shoes and Bree totally knew what she liked. I love seeing the children’s different personalities come through, especially James. Every time I hear him speak, he sounds like such an adult. I’d love to see him do a long cooking video. Jordan, Jason, the little ones, Zoey, Alex and Patrick-they all make me smile. Even the friends are delightful to watch. Alicia, you and Josh are rockstars. I’m so inspired by y’all’s patience and good humor and the love y’all are not shy about displaying for your family. oh my the "back in the old day" was hilarious 😂🤣😅 I laughed way too hard, and Zoey's face when you showed her and Nevaeh that cute dress 😅. Zoey wasn't having any part of that. Josh's face really made my day, haha. Jaden was awesome with the little ones and fit in perfectly 🤗. I love how all the kids get along so well, and always willing to help each other out. Bree and Patrick make my heart smile. I'm getting ready to attempt this with my one kid in a couple weeks. I'm so glad to see Dayshawn opening up more and more. I love watching the older kids interacting and helping with their younger siblings! They are so polite, helpful, and caring. Your kids are so lucky. It makes me so happy to see your relationship with each of them. You clearly love each of them 💖

I'm confused on the store you selected to get new clothes for school! You bought expensive athletic style clothing. Why not go to Macy's or Kohls to buy proper clothes? Like Polo shirts or button down shirts. Look how everyone is dressed...... Tee shirts, athletic shorts and sneakers! Ugg!! If you have the money to buy expensive athletic clothing at Dicks, you can surely buy them presentable nice clothes at Macys for your children. You bought LOVLY clothes for the Children on Easter... beautiful!! One's they wore to church and the extra set. Very nice! So why can't you buy clothes like that for school?

I love that this seems to be barely edited, it’s real and in a way beautiful to see how she makes sure each kids knows their size and what they need to buy, and the “do they make you feel confident?” comment was amazing, because it seemed like it was a reflex to ask, not something you’d thought about saying.

I love this lady!! Many people judge and make comments but seriously she always allows these kids to pick what they want and what they like she doesn’t check prices. She makes them feel comfortable. She buys all of them their favorite food/drinks. She actually uses the money on these kids 100% never seen her with expensive purse shoes etc!! Her husband as well they would rather buy things for the kids. Okay Jordan is going to be the fashionable one with the shoes 🤣 I love him

@@nancylowery4504 a lot of these children came from foster care and adoption. that means that the world already kicked them around when they were little and vulnerable. it takes a broken person who didnt grow up with any reprieve from the "real world" to sit around and hold their nose up over a bunch of children being allowed to be carefree children. i hope you find some peace and sincerely consider getting a therapist so you can heal your pain, nancy.
I only have 2 kids, but I always get them brand names for school shoes like Nike or adidas because their the most comfortable, non slippery, and last through the whole year. This family can afford getting these brand names for 14 kids so let them be 🤷🏻♀️

I love that they get to pick any shoe, as long as they fit and they love them. Shoe shopping with my family was so stressful because my mom was so so particular with brands or cost and I was always afraid to like a shoe.
I absolutely love watching these videos. Makes my childhood wish of having many siblings come true. Just saying, you are an amazing mom to those kids. They were well behaved, especially for the long shoe shopping haul. Also, Jordan kept cracking me up!

Mad respect momma (& dad 😊). BTS shopping can be stressful as heck...between the crowds, the $$, picky kiddos, etc it can get to u if u let it. I only had 2 kids, so you blow my mind everytime I watch y'all. Organized, chill & calm, what a memory u have!!!, loving, kind, ....just ALL the things 😊💓❣️ Thankfully I never let BTS shopping get to me. We always had a good time. My son especially liked to go shopping with mom cuz he knew we'd have fun no matter what AND I always allowed him to be a huge part in all we got. I'd always see parents stressed, crabby, picking everything out themselves, which just isn't fair, & having a crappy experience. You my dear could really show those parents it can be done without being axxholes 😊. Those kids are SO blessed to have y'all.

I wanted 12 children. I got 3. I was blessed to be the stay at home Mom for 10 years while they were small. And babysat whomever needed it! The amount of money that costs to raise kids I'm ok with God's choice for us now.

it’s been a year since i’ve graduated but 2 years since i’ve physically been in school school cause of covid and i used to love getting ready for going back to school…searching for new clothes and new shoes and all the necessities…i miss it i do, more than the people 😂😂 haha , but i hope that they take these moments and always remember them ..because i sure do ! i missed out on half of my junior year and all of my senior year …it felt like they took away a big part of my life that everyone talks about in life …but everything happened for a reason and i found my husband and i’m now having a sweet baby girl that’s coming in nov …but anyways i hope everyone has a good and safe school year coming up . 💗 sending blessings y’all’s way!

I just say that your an inspiration to me. I love watching your videos and seeing you be a great mom to your kids. I have always wanted to adopt and foster since I was a little girl and watching you motivates me to work towards that goal. Unfortunately right now I'm in college and still living with my parents. But one day I hope to be just like you and open my home to children who need loving place to stay.🥰
For anyone who is in a similar place as me I would encourage you to get involved with children in the community by volunteering. I volunteer at an organization called big brother big sister which pairs you with a child in the community. Typically it's children from foster care, single parent home, or children placed with grandparents. These kids just need a little extra support and encouragement to succeed and you can do that by hanging out them for an hour or two every week.
The patience level is on 1000. Love it!

Next Saturday we’re doing the whole school skipping experience and I only have two to shop for/with. I love how the kids friends become part of the family and also help/ play with the younger kiddos

Alicia I love how you let the kids get whatever clothes they want. My mom never would have let me get 3 of nearly the same shirt at once. I think it’s amazing how you don’t judge their choices. That must be so empowering for them 💜
