Ancient Secrets of the SACRED VALLEY || Van Life in Peru

As an archaeologist I love your joy of exploration of a new culture and since I probably will not be able to get to the ruins due to COPD I love virtually traveling with you two. Thank you so much.
I'm finally getting a chance to backtrack on some of the older videos. This one is an absolute humdinger! I really can't say enough. I have been enchanted with Peru and Machu Picchu the flutes the terrain the peoples and have turn my eyes to what material I can come across for years. This tour put all of it to shame. I had to stop what I was doing to enjoy every last moment. You guys amaze me with your thorough, generous, spirited, and present camaraderie. I would go on but I'm having a moment. Thank you so much for taking me along.
This is amazing to hear!! Thank you so much for letting us know how much this affected you. We are so honored to have been able to take you along on this journey!!!
Trent I noticed when Allie first mentioned Macchu Picchu that it's like a light goes on inside you. Later you said the ruins make your soul smile. Again everytime you both mention Macchu Picchu your light from within shines. Really nice to see you come alive. It was always a dream of mine, but unfortunately it never happened and now the poor body is too old. So I will enjoy watching your experience. I hope you all had a great time. Can't wait to see the video. Glad you mentioned Frank as I was getting a little worried. 😉
Mopani & Mickey ya ya ya I was wondering where Frank was to! 🥰
With every episode of your travels,
you guys show the world,
why you are the BEST Van Life channel.
I've had quite a long and somewhat stressful day, but you two can always make me smile 😁
LOVE watching your video!!! I am building out my Promaster and using ALPCA fiber for my van insulation! I’ve got some videos up about it now but LOTS more coming!! Shout out to Lazy Acres Alpaca Farm in Bloomfield, NY for supplying me with the raw Alpca fiber.
Nice, another episode for me to view. I wonder something however: the way you act in the video's, talk about the things you see, give information about the places you visit, the way you look and talk into the camera asif it was a part of your body, makes it look asif you are professional documantary makers. And yet I can feel the love you two put in this all. Great respect and please, don't change, I love you both!
Thanks Rob we try really hard to make the videos enjoyable and we really appreciate your feedback 😇
@@TrentandAllie hi....I have commented to watch "ALIENS" on the discovery channel...
I was incorrect, sorry, the show is found on the HISTORY channel...trent, you will truly enjoy the many historical & factual shows. Blessings 🙋♀️
I agree. They just make videos good to watch.
Allie, I wish you had bought that hat!! The color of that hat with the color of your hair and your beautiful smile go together like it was made just for you!!
Not only does she look warm. She looks hot.
Double meaning intended.
I also really wished she had bought the hat for herself.
I'd like to see her hair tied up in colorful Cusco ribbons and wreathed around her head.
The Sacred Valley… The animals, The archaeological sites, the drone shots… So lovely… And you guys are the coolest cats!! ❤️
When I was in Ollantaytambo I hiked up to the food storage ruins and you could see that the ruins you were walking in were carved into the mountain side in the shape of a llama.
Oh my God u guys, what a fantastic video. I didn’t want it to end man. Trent what amazing camera work and the drone shots were to die for. It really was like being there. Alie what can I say, I love just listening to u talk and explain everything. Your smile just says it all and it makes me smile and enjoy every moment with u guys. Really a beautiful video. Thank you Trent & Alie
What an amazing place! You guys need to be hired by National Geographic. Trent, you love pyramid and history as much as me.
Wow, just wow and it’s not even Machu Picchu yet!! I had no idea there were so many more amazing ruins in the area. I’m sooo jealous lol 😂
WOW!!! Peru is my favorite Country of any you've been to. I love Archeology & there's so much to appreciate! Plus, it's beautiful. And the Locals crafts are amazing & so colorful. Can't wait to see your experience at Machu Picchu! I've seen others footage & it's incredible! 😍
This Channel is turning out to be AMAZING . . . Always been Good, but since South America, getting really GREAT. Never thought Peru was so interesting and beautiful. Can't wait for the other Countries especially Brazil and Argentina. Keep up the great work, stay safe, and God Bless
Get the warm hat, Allie! Looks great on you.
What an amazing journey for you! Thanks for 'taking us along'! Your obvious delight and wonder, I believe rubs off onto your viewers!
I'm loving this video -- you guys are hitting big chunks of my bucket list! What's kind of funny is that here in the Washington, DC 'burbs my parents' neighbor across the street has a small alpaca farm nearby... she's been inviting us to come visit for years (while sharing photos of her wooly "kids") and now I really wanna go! Thanks again for sharing, and I'm looking forward to your next several vids.
Oh, loved this video of the ruins and the Peruvian market and llamas! What an absolutely beautiful country. Love the music of the Incas as well! Tomorrow Machu Picchu...Yay!!
Allie always looks amazing in hats. She should wear them more. They always look so good on her.
Y'all make me miss teaching! I totally would have used this video to teach my 6th graders about Peru!
Michele Frederick I was thinking that I would have used it too if I taught that content! Totally engaging.
"With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world". -Desiderata by Max Ehrmann
*Thank you for reminding me*
Love watching you with the alpacas and llamas! I would be in heaven here, as I'm a knitter and alpaca blend yarns are so soft to work with! I think it's great that you bought all those blankets as Christmas presents! I know I'd love to receive one! Prices there would be alot cheaper than in Canada!😀
That was awesome guys!! Lovin the Peruvian adventures!!
Allie, I love the hats you tried on! That puppy... adorable!!! What a beautiful area!!!
I agree. The hats looked really good on her.
The pup is really cute, but there is nothing like Frank's little face. I'm biased 😁❤️🐕
One man's pet is the next man's delicacy!
Did you find out the name of that unique dog breed?
A "sustainable" tour company? So many buzz words to keep track of!!!
Your awe and delight at these new discoveries is infectious and a real joy to see! Thanks for sharing it with us! Lynn
Allie, that hat was perfect for you!
I never knew why but when I visited Peru I was more impress by Ollantaytambo then Machu Picchu It was such an incredible experience. Thanks for the video it brought back good memories !
I follow a guy from Norway. He was through there about three or four weeks ago and he went to Machu Picchu and The sacred Valley. His name is Harald Baldr and is now in Nepal. He has been to many countries.Very interesting guy.I also watch all your videos here in Canada. And enjoy them all.Safe travels.🇨🇦🇺🇸
Our week-long trip to Cusco, Sacred Valley and Macchu Picchu 4 years ago is still the highlight of my 60+ years. This video brings me back, so thanks. I can't wait to see your faces at the historic site in a few days. The people in Peru are wonderful and so welcoming. I would not touch a cooked Guinea either. Safe travels.
Actually, I'd like to say: When you got engaged - Oh My!!! How you look at each other! Never lose that! Please!!!
allie you smile it addictive , your a breath of fresh air, RESPECT
I would've sworn that was a puppy Allie was petting. Reminded me of a German Shepherd pup. Pretty cool place to visit. Luca cracks me up !!!
Allie,,, you looked great in that hat. Hope Trent cut loose of some $ and bought it for ya ! 😉
Oh, and ----> #letalliedrivethevan 🙂🚐👍👍
amazing footage today!! thank you for taking me on your journey
Great video can't wait for Machu Picchu you guys rock!!
Great ! ! If not yet, try eating CHOCLO, it is original from Peru and was considered main food for the Incas, as important as Potato. It is a tasty big white corn. Boiling it is an Epic Food
I dont think I've ever learnt some much about ruins until listening to you trent! Looks like you guys are having a great time! Stay safe! Much love to you both and Frank! 💙
Outstanding video guys thank you very much
Take care
Another great combination of drone footage and music!!! I loved watching that and hoped it would go on longer. And I totally agree with Rob Bisdom too!
Thanks for the amazing tour. Many blessings
I love these kinda videos, Trent is so happy to be there, and you can see it in the video. It warms my soul to see that, you look happy too Allie, but Trent is in his happy place. I love it. Great video, thanks for sharing...PS I wish i was on your Christmas list, love the blankets y'all got for family and friends. Safe travels and God bless love ya Nancy
This is by far one of my favourite videos.
Awesome vid, thanks for the longer edition.
Y’all look so happy!
Wally reminds me of the Mexican hairless...they probably are the descendants of the Chupacabra, but no matter I love his fuzzy skullcap. The ancient ruins have always been my favorite sites. Thanks for always sharing guys. ❤
is so awesome this is a place I want to go one day ,thank you for all the amazing footage
Wow. Is really all I can say. Great video! Such a beautiful place! Couldn't imagine eating a Guinea pig though.. 🤔 lol thanks again for a wonderful start to my day. You guys are truly living! Love you guys! Safe travels!
You’re like a traveling encyclopedia or Google! Thank you for allowing us to learn so much more than we would have through our own research.
Top of the morning family!! Happy Friday guys! Stay safe and have a fabulous weekend!!!! ❤️
❤ You guys are my favorite UA-camrs. I love watching your adventures. Safe travels. 😊
Thanks Carrie 😊
Way to go guys! From the volume of happy commenters, this is a winner! I usually scroll thru the comments but too many happy campers piping in today❤️
Wow guys, you’re on my dream vacation ❤️🥂🇨🇦
Wonderful channel... great video, always eager to watch your videos ... can’t wait for the next ... 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Your videos are stunning❤, beautiful compositions and so informative at the same time. Would love to learn from you on how to produce such rich content. Any videos about that? Stay safe and God Bless!
Old buildings ... ancient anything ❤️ RUINS!!! Can’t wait for more!
That puppy was the cutest thing ever! You should have bought the hat, it looked great !
Wow, where are the indigenous people now? Where did they all move?? And those Christmas gifts are awesome, if someone doesn't want theirs I'll volunteer to take it. Can't wait for Macchu Picchu!!!🤗💓😲
One day I will get to see that history for myself. I completely felt your excitement and joy.
Love Luca and Sara too.
Awesome you showed them.
VanLife is a family.
The minute you mentioned the train, I wondered about Frank? I was not surprised that you had a new friend watching him. Always enjoy your journey, Frank is a big part of that. Safe travels.
Awesome video guys. Loved the archaeological site and info.. Thank You CHEERS from CANADA!
Awesome unbelievable video and tour of Peru! Good job guys❤️
Wow amazing guys looks so good there 👍👍👍
Your videos are so informative and very professional. Thank you
I randomly came across this channel, and i am so glad i did. I look forward to your videos and watch every upload! Thank you so much for this channel.
Much love from Newfoundland, Canada
Thanks for watching!! We’re glad you found us too 😎
The pronunciation of Llama is "yama". A lama is I believe a Buddhist monk. But I liked the explanation of the three types. I am surprised they let you touch the pots in that museum. I wonder how many get broken. I loved Allie's use of the word "disconcerting". Not many UA-camrs can use that word correctly. It's a good GRE word. Congratulations. This was one of your best videos.
Trent
You are an old soul. You got jazzed when you say the Mayan temples and now Machu Picchu. I bet your soul is an architect. You have that constructing mind. Allie is also an old soul. Also I love LEAW. I also love archaeological ruins.
Truly appreciate the way you make your episodes and your content, w personal experiences, historical facts, humor, love and the drone footage too! It's also similar to how I would want to travel (in a van) and the things I would want to see and do:) so glad you made the choice to do this! Thanks so very much for letting us see Peru through your eyes and hearts!
Thank you for watching!! Glad you’re enjoying the videos too 😊
Allie did you see yourself in the alpaca hat? Absolutely perfect for you. You should get it. Gorgeous.
Ohhh wow!!! Just WoW! I’m so honored to see these things today! I never knew this place existed! Loved the Alpacas and Lamas! My only experience with them here in Montana was my horse was very very afraid of their smell! I rode a bucking bronco all the way around the corner till he couldn’t see them anymore! Hikers use them a lot up the canyons to carry camping gear
Another wonderful video thank you!
Amazing footage!! I can't imagine your friends and family not loving the Peruvian blankets you got for them! Wonderful!!
Those are beautiful gifts. Alpaca is so soft and warm. They will love it
I say buy Allie the hat for Christmas! Wonderful Epic footage! Thanks for featuring Alpaca Expeditions.Nice to see a local guy get some kudos, he really has it together.
Such a beautiful area I watched this video twice .. once on the phone and again on my big smart TV ( I will me it in van life) but hey this area is breathtaking. Added to my bucket 😁 .. love you
Breathtaking. I'm absolutely enjoying this series. Enjoy your travels.
oh... so excited to see Macchu Picchu...Love the video today.. so many interesting things to see and you'll are great on adding so much information... thank you so much for sharing.
Terraces. Walls, llamas, alpacas, Incas oh my! Aquas caliente, train. Machu Pichu here we come. This is so exciting. The one place my soul wants to be.
Love watching your adventures! Your excitement comes through
It's crazy Man, I was binge watching your channel last weekend, I saw you start building your home, and you mentioned in one of those video's that you wished you could afford to build several rock walls behind your house and you said it would be like the ruins you saw back in Peru....now that all makes sense. It's truly beautiful there, and the cool people you've found along the way to travel with and also finding your old Friend to stay with is so cool. I'm enjoying watching your stuff, I'll never go myself but if I were your age, I might try it. Thanks for taking us along!
I think i’m just as obsessed with these ruins as Trent is!
Aw the llamas and alpaca look so cute, in the UK we have places where you can walk with alpacas on walking trail’s, love the hat Allie it looks so warm, what a gorgeous market so many different items and artefacts for sale wish we had markets like that, you two do some much walking and climbing no wonder you are both so slim and active really enjoyed the video today looking forward to more xx
I truly loved your video today. Have heard and read a lot about Macchu Picchu (don't know correct spelling). I can't wait to visit there tomorrow. I feel like I'm on the adventures with you. Thank you for all the hard work you do. It is truly appreciated.
I went to Peru a few years ago, best trip I've ever been on. Never climbed so many steps in my life, never mind at high altitudes! 5-6 steps, stop to catch your breath and repeat a few hundred times.
I'm so excited for you guys!! And excited for us as well to get to see!! . Thanks for sharing ❤️ ❤️
Back in '92, I took the train/bus/boat combo trip from Bogota to Lima. Some Germans on board mentioned the trains only go about 30-35 mph since the tracks are so poorly maintained and old. They said they were on a train in Peru when it came off the tracks; nothing dramatic like some train derailment we imagine, it just feel off onto the ground and stopped! The boat part of my trip was over Lake Titicaca, highest navigable in the world and thankfully it was a calm day, because the water was literally 4" from coming over the gunwales.
Awesome job on video guys
What a day for u guys can't wait for tomorrow's video.
Thanks so much for all the interesting historical information. Really enjoyed it. When something makes your “soul smile”, you know you are on the right path and it shows. And isn’t it amazing how there is always someone loving ready to take Frank? True dog people have some sort of karmic goodness.
I am so glad you both are so passionate about every venture, because you give great documentaries on every culture. I have been schooled.
The sky behind you as you were getting to the train was the most beautiful sapphire blue, hope you saw it. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic post. The engineering on those terraces is amazing, especially the way the stone walls fit together presumably without any form of mortar. Oh yeah, Allie...the hat was slammin' Thanks for sharing.
I love your videos! I just bought your cookbook the other day and I work at a group home for adults with disabilities and I made them the enchiladas the other day and they all loved it and so did I! Much love to you both and safe travels!
So glad you loved them as much as we do!! And thanks for buying the book 😊
Hey guys! I loved seeing the ancient ruins but now I want an alpaca hat!
I'm not going to be surprised if some network doesn't hire you two to do a TV show!!! You both have mastered talking to the camera, big time!!! It's like watching a produced show, but your going with no script and are delivering. By the way, I looked up your toilet price since your last video??? Tell me the truth... does it wipe you too??? lol
By the way, if you are getting up at 3:30 am are you going to do yoga?
I'm sure enjoy the pace and excitement of the xideos, w.w.
No yoga tomorrow haha
I enjoy all your videos, but for some reason I did not want this one to end. Very interesting and informative, wish there was more.
You should have gotten the hat Allie. It was beautiful. How can you keep from not buying stuff.? And as I say that here you are. Wow. Amazing video.
I agree, but I wonder what the price of the hat was. 😉
The best coffee I ever had was peruvian. Now we have to wait until monday to see the next video. BOOO! And thank you, I am going to love one of the blankets. You really shouldn't have. lol!
Cusco?? Emperors new groove!😂💜💜
