What I love about Memories of Phantas Yuyuko is that they drop the light in her eyes to tell you she's dead. And I think that's a really nice detail they thought of. I don't really see it in media for some reason, or maybe i'm just not getting the good artists

I’m glad you asked. But do you want an explanation about the lore or the gameplay? I can’t help much about the lore, but I can explain some gameplay mechanics of most mainline Touhou games. In most main Touhou games (the bullet hell ones), it’s basically a bullet hell shmup. You dodge bullets and beat up enemies and bosses for 7 stages (6 for story, and 1 for extra stage). There are 4 difficulties, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Lunatic. In most of the games, there are 2 playable characters that you would see all the time. Reimu and Marisa. In games from Touhou 7 onwards, there are more than just Reimu and Marisa. For beginners, Reimu is a great character as she have great coverage thanks to homing shots. But if you are more experienced and want to deal a lot of damage, use Marisa. I have a video about that on my channel. You can also find beginners’ guide to Touhou.
